    • LOUD - FEATURE HEAVY - GREAT SOUND FOR MOVIES... OPTICAL IN.
THIS IS NOT A WATER PROOF OR RESISTANT STEREO! I say this because i bought it to use as our summer backyard-movies sound system... But, I set it up for the movie, then strike it down and put it away after the movie. The sound is Great (Everything I write should be prefaced with "For this Price") Little L, R Front and Surround Speakers... and a Center Channel Speaker. They are very light - so people may equate that with low build quality... but, bottom line is they reproduce quite well. Nice and Flat. The cords are attached to the speakers, so be careful not to damage them. The cords are very long for their positioning - You shouldn't really place Front Speakers too much further than the attached cords - and the Surround speakers were more than sufficient to place at head level about 4' behind the viewing area... (even with me snaking the left speaker wire alongside the right, to avoid people tripping). Has optical in - I split out the Digital Audio / Picture from my MBP to the Speakers and the Video Projector, The MacBook Pro instantly recognised the Speakers as an Output - once connected via optical. We watched "Saving Private Ryan" from an Amazon Digital download to test it... Very good. Surround Mix translated well - Center / Front Channel Dialog was pretty clean and not muddy even in loud booming explosions and Effect-heavy Dialog- mixed scenes. We did all this outside in the backyard - at like 25% - Not sure how well it holds up at super- loud volumes - Our neighbours wouldn't appreciate us testing that - but, at the very loud volume we watched the movies, the sound was very clear and clean. I have only used it for movies and did a quick Bluetooth test - just to make sure it worked - it did. Small But BIG things: Came with all the cabling - which in itself is cray for companies these days - (even the optical!) It's active , Of course, so No Need for a whole Stereo System. The Subwoofer/ Brain has a bright LED Display - which is super helpful in the dark of playback The remote is great - (I do wish it worked better from all angles) - Projectors "know" that you may be sitting behind it, and have sensors in front and back...or with wide range... When you are setting this speaker up from the back, you will have to go to the front to get the remote to respond. Other that that - GREAT BUY for the PRICE... (For watching Movies) - If your main use is going to be listening to "Dark Side of the Moon" at high volumes - I am not sure how it will hold up... You will keep looking for something to let you down and explain why it's so cheap... but, for me and my purposes...so far, so good. Hope that helps. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. GREAT SURROUND SOUND SYSTEM!! Will LITERALLY take the Roof off you and your neighbors Houses when Playing Music!!! No Joke!!! Sounds really GREAT for TV and BLUETOOTH Connectivity is really Awesome for Connecting to TV , Phone , Laptop or Tablet!!! DEFINITELY worth the Money!! Don’t be fooled by the size of the Speakers!! 700 Watts Blows away most compact Bluetooth Stereo Setups that I have tried before this. Let see where I start, I bought this for my 80 inch living room tv , had everything included that I needed to setup and get it up and going like A pro. And then I powered it on , see let me explain just a little I’m from Detroit, the home of rock n Rolland moved to ky where our Walmarts calls a sound bar surround sound with a bar and left right speaker, well where I’m from we had 5 speakers around a room and different sounds coming from each speaker and action was in your living room and you was in the middle of the action, so yes I guess I’m spoiled but that’s the sounds you get from this system, I was amazed for the price the sound it produces. It’s not a kenwood or pioneer but it surprised me. Thank bobtot! And Amazon ... show more

    • Great bang for the buck.
At this price point I wasn't expecting too much, but I have been pleasantly surprised. We've gone through two name brand highly rated sound bar/sub woofer sets only to be disappointed by each when it comes to watching movies and shows as the voices always seem to get lost in loud background noise or just muffled at times. My hope was that this 5.1 system would separate the voice with the center channel, and although not 100% better it has been a much better experience then with the overpriced sound bar sets. It is quite nice that the remote has separate buttons to change the volume levels of each speaker, the 5.1 did help a lot with the voice levels but being able to easily change speaker volumes has also helped tweak for our needs. If you are looking for a nice fairly capable 5.1 surround system at an affordable price point, look no further! ... show more

Bought this unit to have in a game room for the games and movies setup. As I was setting it up it just shut off. No rybme or reason as to why. Double checked the plugs , breakers, and power strip. No luck. Had speakers hung and only had it on the radio. Still hadn't used it for the TV yet....replacing it and I'll update after. As of now it's a useless frustrating situation. ... show more
