Since I already had a 240v/50amp outlet for my RV, the plug in model was an easy install. It works incredibly well at an affordable price. I was disappointed that it didn't come with the proper adapter for a Tesla--the online image indicated it was compatible for charging a Tesla and I misunderstood that to mean that it would connect to a Tesla without needing an additional part. So, making this work with a Tesla takes buying an additional adapter for about $40. What I like with this unit is the 25 ft cord...the plug-in outlet for the unit is in the garage and the cord easily connects to a Tesla charging port (which is on the back-end of the car). I would buy it again and I certainly recommend the Wolfbox charger. The app is intuitive and the magnetic cards are both easy and secure ways of initiating the charging process.

Works Great, as advertised. Easy use. Fast charging. I opted for hard wired model. 60 Amp service professionally installed by licensed electrician. Fast charging 48-50amps (depends on your electric service. Great lower cost product over competitors. Install Note: iPhone App requires pairing on 2.4 GHz signal. My internet providers box came defaulted to 5 ghz. ( 2.4 GHz is standard for home automation and security systems.) Once I enabled 2.4ghz, APP pairing was no problem.

I purchased the plug-in version of this Wolfbox and have had it operating for a little over a week. It charges my Bolt at 40A as expected. I had previously used a competitor's EVSE (which was also a 40A plug-in), but I had an incident where my NEMA 14/50 outlet melted during a charging session, which also melted the plug on my EVSE. Since that prior EVSE was also having other issues (it was 6 years old and had been getting "cranky"), I decided to replace the EVSE in addition to the NEMA outlet, rather than just repair the EVSE. Note, as an aside, make sure you have a high quality NEMA 14/50 outlet. The $10 Leviton outlet can't really handle a prolonged 40A load, though in my case it did last 6 years. I now have a Hubbell installed, which is noticeably more robust, admittedly at 5 times the cost. I find the app for the Wolfbox provides the bare minimum functionality. I can select my charging current (in 8A steps). I can see my charging history, though I wish it would filter out the superfluous 1 minute "top-offs" that fill the history listing. I have not tried the scheduled charging, opting instead for Plug and Charge. I also have not tried the included RFID security mechanism as my charger is in my garage so I am not worried about random people trying to use it. My biggest complaint with the Wolfbox is that the display is upside down when you hang the box on the wall. Convention says the NEMA outlet should be oriented such that the ground is at the top. The pigtail from the Wolfbox is not really long enough to bend it 180 degrees so mounting the Wolfbox right-side up is not an option (its ground wire is at the bottom of the plug). Ideally the box would auto-invert the display, but having an app option to flip the display would also be acceptable. As it is I have chosen to place the box on a shelf rather than look at the display being upside down. Overall I can, based on my limited use so far, recommend the Wolfbox if you need a 40A plug-in style EVSE.

This is an easy to use and install level 2 charger. App is easy and you can adjust current to prevent damage on different cars. Our Volvo only accepts 16amps so we set it to that. Only use 4awg wire for this. Ground must also be 4awg. 60 amp breaker. Would recommend to anyone looking for a charger.

I bought this so I could charge my VW ID4. The other night I had the car down to 12% charge left and then I threw it on this charger. It took about 5 hours to charge back up. The ONLY issue I had with this charger was I had a blackout that lasted for about 2 hours and when power was restored it lost the setting to charge immediately instead of charging from the RFID card which is the default setup
