The Level 2 Hardwired EV Charger by WOLFBOX, is well-made, high performing charger, with all the features and capabilities you should need to keep your EV ready to go. Let’s take a closer look at what may or may not make this a good choice for your situation. I. Quality – The charger looks and feels like a well-made charger, with thick cables and a strong build. I have some that are a bit higher quality, but this one is definitely towards the top. I’d put the overall quality in the lower side of the upper tier of the quality scale for at hove EV chargers and guess that it should hold up well over time. II. Performance – This one has worked great in many ways, with a top of the market 50-amp capability that is adjustable with 6 amp choices. The 4.3-inch screen is nice to have, providing helpful information and a light sensing design. It has about every available feature with 5 safety features, Wi-Fi, RFID and app control. The 25-foot cable is on the longer end of what’s available and great to have if you can’t park next to the charger. III. Hardwired – Keep in mind that this one will need to be hardwired to a 60 A breaker and doesn’t come with a plug. I actually see this as an advantage (if you don’t have an outlet yet), as you will be eliminating a potential weak point by not having an outlet that could fail, but means that it’s not meant to be portable at all. Also, the hardwires are a bit short and will need to be mounted close to the breaker box the way it comes. Overall, this is a fantastic option that offers a very high charging ability, with quality, convenience and most features you can currently get. I’ll be sure to update this review, if I ever start to have problems with it. You can trust that this review is simply my honest opinion that is attempting to provide you with helpful insight that I wish I had before I picked this product. Hopefully it was helpful in your decision.

I got this NEMA 14-50R EV Charger to work on setting up an EV Charge station at my house. This plug in version has up to a 40amp output verses the 50amp output for the hard wired version. This charger seems well constructed and weather tight.

After returning a defective Autel charging station (for which there was no customer service) I bought this WolfBox charging station. Installation was fairly easy although using #6 gauge wire is tricky. After carefully following the instructions, the charger went to work. On my system I'm getting 48amps out to the KIA EV9 and both the the KIA and the WolfBox are happy. I'm not happy. One of the reasons to buy the WolfBox was the ability to see what it's doing during the charge and look back at the logs it keeps of hours & days in operation. During setup, the car model and the cost of electricity are inputted. The WolfBox is then supposed to display cumulative charges and costs via mobil phone connection. None of that is happening which makes this $499 Chinese-built charging station dumb as a pump handle. You can buy a "dumb" charging station for your EV for much less money. I attempted several times to get a response from WolfBox but their customer service only responds with boilerplate "We're here to help" messages without addressing the complaint. This is typical now of Chinese-built products and they can't even provide a decent translation of the owner's manual. Bottom line: The WolfBox isn't worth the money.

Very high quality: You can tell the second you unbox this product it's really solidly put together. The unit is pretty large, but not too heavy or difficult to install, and the wires are all well insulated and protected from wear and tear. The charging speed is about as fast as you're going to see from a model within this price range and the physical connection when charging is smooth and secure. Good data tracking: The data tracking element of this product is also something that really stands out, especially against lower cost competitors. Being able to track the energy usage is a nice way to really see the impact you're having on the environment, as you can calculate exactly how much energy/mile you're using and compare it to gasoline alternatives. And being able to schedule a charge for off peak is a very easy way to save money on electric, assuming your plan is set up to fluctuate electric cost with peak/off peak hours. And finally, the longer cable makes it much more convenient to use - I share a smallish driveway with 2 other people and 3 other cars, so getting close to the charger can sometimes be a hassle, and the longer cable really frees me up to park where there's a space open, vs playing musical chairs with my roommates after work. Overall, this is just a really nicely designed charger and I would recommend.

I recently got a Mercedes EQV and needed a practical charging solution at home. This is my first EV so I had no clue about the available options. After a bit of research, I stumbled upon this product. After having it professionally installed (I don't do electricity lol) I've had no issues and its been working great. I use the app, and while the best designed, it's sufficient in allowing to set, control and monitor my charging. While there have been a few issues with the app, they haven't critical enough for me to stop using or return yet. It's beautifully designed and adds a cool futuristic look to my garage. It takes about 4 hours to fully charge my car. Everything has worked perfectly thus far. I'm hoping it will continue to offer consistent and safe charging to my new car!
