I don't understand the reviews saying it blew off. I've used this 2 years in a row and it's worked great both times. I use the whole roll, wrapping it around as tightly as possible, making sure to get it over the edges and down against the side of the pool., varying the height of the wrap as I go around. It takes a little work, but it wraps around the ladder and everything nicely and has never blown off. I think the people who say it blew off must not be using it properly. ... show more

    • Doesn’t work if your pool is exposed to wind elements.
I installed this product as described. It lasted one night and by the next day had weakened and came loose from the pool. Very unhappy with the product. May try it one additional time to ensure I did noting wrong, but it’s one of those products that goes on one way and it either works or it doesn’t. Product may work if the elements exposure to wind is limited, but if not it’s not worth the hassle or the money. ... show more

    • Collects water in the center of the cover
It does not allow for water to drain when it rains we have to use a pump to filter the water out to keep it from ripping. Should have tiny drain holes or easier to not collect water. Otherwise seems to be a good product

the product worked until the first big wind storm. i would say it stayed in place for approximately 3 weeks. the first storm ripped it right off. i bought it a second time because the pool cover that came with our 33' round pool is only a huge tarp. they don't make liners that fit that size pool so we have to do anything we can to hold the cover down. we haven't used the 2nd roll yet because we are in the middle of storms and high winds. hopefully once this weather passes we will have better luck. ... show more

    • Cover seal did not stay on the pool
I rarely write negative reviews, but I have used the above ground cover seal for two season in a row and both times it has failed. I have an oval shaped above ground pool 18'x33'. Last year I assumed it was just my fault and it was not installed correctly. This year, I read the install instruction multiple times and consulted with the pool company that also sells the cover seal to ensure that I was installing it correctly. I installed the cover seal on Sept 2 with the help of two people to ensure that the seal was stretched tight and was secure on the pool. It appeared to be working fine until Oct 3 when I saw that the entire cover seal had fallen off the pool. My thoughts on why it failed are due to the hot unseasonable temps we have had over the last several weeks that caused the seal to expand, then with a few strong gusts of wind, it just easily came off. Very disappointed. If the manufacture has any tips, I would be happy to hear from them. Unfortunately with my personal experience, I can no longer recommend this product for pool owners.
