Ordered this to replace the 500gb hard drive on my girlfriends ps4. Overall a nice upgrade, and it seems to slightly reduce load times as well. Her original hard drive went out in her ps4 slim with an error message to install a new update after failing the software test on bootup. Tried to install software from a USB, and while it detected the software, the install would never complete. This is a huge sign of a bad hard drive, so I bout this listing to replace it. The replacement works great, and if you don't immediately have the funds for a solid state drive, I'd get this for the time being. Excellent hard drive and good performance. ... show more

I love WD Black. They are just workhourses with great specs. This drive set up very nicely and the Acronis software from WD is a bonus. Not only does it provide options for copying/storage, but also has some cool intruder protections. I had a problem with Amazon's delivery (DELAYED), but not the fault of the seller. When I received this product I used it in a laptop and it was awesome, It felt much faster than the hard drive that came with my laptop and has been a trooper. In this day I would probably recommend getting an SSD instead as the prices have fallen so much, but this thing is definitely awesome if you are specifically looking for a small hard drive, this one is great ... show more

7200 RPM drives are MUCH preferred over 5400 RPM. I would have bought a 2TB if WD made one in 7200RPM. 32-bit windows can handle up to 2TB. And the price difference between a 1TB and 2TB is trivial. If they made one.

Tenia menos de 2 años de haber comprado el disco duro y todo iba perfectamente, pero hace 5 días empezó a fallar de la nada y a corromper archivos, hace 4 días empezó con comprobación del disco, el 3er día dejo de iniciar windows, el 2 día se a quedado en el logo del equipo y ahora ni enciende, simplemente salio pésimo. Según tenia 5 anos de garantía con el fabricante pero resulta que esto no lo vende el fabricante si no un tercero y debido a esto WD no gestiona la garantía, si no lo debe hacer el vendedor. Aun estando en garantía el producto me comunico con el soporte de OEMGENUINE que es el vendedor (Que no se porque es el vendedor si cuando compre me asegure que fuera Amazon) y me dice si claro le damos la garantía pero envíenoslo, me comunico con Amazon para ver si ellos gestionan el envió y me dicen que no, que simplemente allí no pueden hacer nada, al final me he quedado con un disco duro supuestamente de los mejores dañado con garantía porque enviarlo sale 2 veces el precio de compra. Mi concejo no compren si están fuera de estados unidos por que llevan un producto sin garantía. ... show more
