Quick solution to what seems like a common sense option for Honda to simply sell the key casing instead of requiring a new laser cut key. The casing appears to be of good quality but it’s also replacing one that’s over 5 years old and so expect the plastic to ultimately become brittle but for now it will do its job and was easy to install with provided hardware and screwdriver. I do notice one side of the casing did not sit flush but it’s good enough to get the job done. ... show more

Our Honda key fob got broken, and getting a new one at the dealership was crazy expensive. This cover set was a perfect fit for the original fob's internal unit and for the price, they've been great. After a few years, the point of connection where the screw connects seems to wear out and breaks. But these are good replacements for way less money. To assemble them, it's really simple, you put the original fob internals in the case, slide the key piece on, click the sides together, and screw in the set screw. They look exactly like the original, minus the "H" logo, and provide what you'd expect. ... show more

Worked perfectly and a great price. These keys are a terrible design but thankfully I was able to fix it hem for a decent price. Just don’t forget to take the little hidden chip out of the factory case and move it to the new case.

Bought my kid a 2006 Honda civic hybrid. Both keys were badly damaged and held together with tape and glue. Replaced the inner cases from a different purchase and used these for the outer cases. Nearly identical to the original. Really appreciate that it came with a screwdriver that was small enough for the screws used! Very happy with this product and purchase. Pay attention to how you assemble this. You slide the metal key up into the small t-shaped bit. The t-shaped bit is not symmetrical- one side is smaller than the other. Also, it has slots on either side that allow it to slide into the bottom half of the outer case. Then you install the inner case into the front half of the outer case- then snap the front and back half together and screw shut. ... show more

Just the casing of my original key fob was broken so I just used the original key and fob “innards” and put inside the new casing. No need to cut new key or program new fob. Worked great
