I bought this new SN750 NVMe drive to move my OS from a Crucial SSD. This drive is noticeably faster. Installation was easy, but I did have trouble cloning my OS to this drive without corruption errors. I ended up backing up my pertinent files and fresh installing windows. Since the motherboard or CPU didn't change, Windows recognized my computer and I did not need to repurchase the OS. That being said and really at no fault to the drive, everything else has gone smoothly. PROS: - The drive is fast: The box says read/writes up to 3400MB/s sequentially. However I've found mine, without any cache enhancements, to be about 2900MB/s. Still very fast. With RAM caching of 4GB (which is what I typically use), read/writes came in about 8000MB/s. See the attached benchmark images for no enhancement runs and with enhancement runs. For reference, with caching my Crucial SSD where the OS used to be would average about 800MB/s. - Temps are solid: My motherboard included a m.2 heatsink which I am using for this. The m.2 slot on my board for the NVMe primary slot is right under the graphics card. So, when that starts putting out some heat, this thing will heat up a little as well. Even with that temperatures are in very respectable ranges. After running my benchmarks for the drive, the average was 41C and hottest was 44C, as seen in the image. After a gaming session, the peak temperature I've seen for the drive was 55C, but typically stays under 48C. - Price: The prices for 3D NAND drives have been coming down and probably will continue to do so. Last year at this time, a 500GB drive was about $250. I picked this one up for $120. These will probably come down some more from there. All good news for us consumers. CONS: My only con would be the issues I had with cloning the drive, most of which are not really related to this drive, but more related to the cloning software and my OS. My final thoughts on this are: this drive performs very close to the Samsung 970 Plus drive. They are also about the same price. The Samsung and this are about the fastest drives you can buy at this price-point and are essentially interchangeable. The SN750 is vastly superior to an SSD, and the differences are noticeable in everyday use. WD products in my experience have been reliable with no drive failing for me in the past. So to anyone looking to get this, I would recommend.

If you bought this product for the Battlefield 2042 code and you feel like you've been robbed, go back and look at the instructions again. They did a woopsie on the URL in the English instructions, but not on the other languages. Refer to the photo, I guess they forgot the dash between "redeem" and "BF" by mistake. There, you'll be able to claim the code after inputting your date of birth and all that. As for the SSD, yeah it's damn fast. Tested it on ArmA 3 and it loads Malden in under 10 seconds easily. Highly recommend with that $115 price point.

as good as the drive is apparently, WD Black has no intention of letting you redeem the code for Battlefield 2042, the code packet tells you to visit a specific part of their website that does not exist to redeem the bundle. Customer support was useless and told me that they would contact someone else to get back to me by email. Buyer beware

This is for the WD Black SN750 1TB NVMe. My ASUS mother board (Prime Z390-P) with Windows 10 Pro, had no trouble using the drive to its full ability, without any extra drivers or settings being done. I have always liked WD hard drives, I'm glad to see their solid state drives are nice as well. Note: The software for the drive is also nice. Small footprint and you can select it to not run unless you choose to. So no background processes running. The WD version of the software will also work on the SanDisk drives.

I purchased the WD BLACK SN750 500GB NVMe SSD to replace the OEM Samsung NVMe SSD that was in my girlfriend’s Lenovo Yoga 910-13IKB after it had failed after less than two years of use. The WD BLACK provides read and write times of 3108 MB/s and 2214 MB/s which is more than double of what the OEM Samsung SSD provided with its read and write speeds. This drive is a beast. Once the SSD was installed, it took less than ten minutes to have Windows 10 back up and running with my Transcend USB 3.1 flash drive. With the included WD app, I’m able to see a lot more information regarding my SSD than I was previously. And most importantly, the issues my girlfriend encountered playing games on her Yoga (specifically The Sims 4 which would constantly crash to a black screen) have all been eliminated with the new SSD.

I upgraded from a Sata SSD to this and the speed was awesome, BUT (yeah there is always a but) after OS installation the computer started to freeze. Transferring data from the SSD to the NVMe the computer froze 4 times. Then looking at the notification panel another freeze. Installing Steam games on another hard drive, computer froze. In short the computer froze more than 8 times in less than an hour. Drivers and BIOS were up to date and the OS was recently installed (Windows 10). I removed the NVMe and now I'm running the PC with the old Sata drive and is working great. M/B: Asus Prime X470 Pro RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 V/C: Radeon VII (the whole computer is new)
