Quick, easy fix. The discreption of the product is a little misleading, at least to me. It says it fits electric water heaters. Actually it fits propane only water heats too. Be sure to see if your model is listed and I think you'll be fine.

    • Easy Installation & Quality Parts
Everything needed to replace your ECO and thermistor are included in this kit. My kit didn't come with instructions, but you really don't need any to install these replacement parts. For those not aware, the ECO and each thermistor have own size spade connectors. The wiring on your waterheater will be similarly wired, so it is actually impossible to hook up the incorrect wires by the time you get done. Just pay attention to the spade connector size, and you should be good to go. One other note, if you are only replacing one of them and can't figure out which of the two new parts is either the ECO or thermistor - just compare either the ratings on the back of the old part to the new ones. They're both different. Or simply check the spade connectors connecting to both components - and identify which size spade goes with which wire. Make certain that the transparent rings have been rotated to keep the sensors under the tabs in the panel they insert into. You'll know you're done when the sensors are installed, flat against the tank wall, pressure kept in place by the spring and lock ring. Lastly, clean the panel wall off before installing the protective foam cover. This will ensure a better water tight seal. ... show more

    • Simple to replace and so far it’s working perfect!
I can’t think of anything to be concerned about. It was a very quick and easy job replacing the t-stats. The two thermostats look identical so be sure you don’t reverse their positions and carefully mark the wires positions so you don’t have problems remembering what wires go to which terminals. It’s only four connections, so not rocket science. Everything works like it should again and took about me about 10 mins total to complete the repair. And best of all I didn’t pay an RV dealer a fortune to do it! 😃👍🏻👍🏻 ... show more

    • Easy, but sticky, to install.
This thermostat set is for use on an Atwood water heater. There are pretty good instructions included in the bag. Overall, it's not hard to install, but there are a couple of sticky areas (pun intended) that can be challenging. First, there are no holes pre cut in the rubber mat, to accommodate different models with varying distance between the two sensors. That means you have to install both sensors, then try to push the mat over the prongs so they come through the mat. Best to do this with the backing still on so it can mark where the prongs go, and then cut the mat with a knife; rather than trying to punch the prongs through the mat. The second challenge is getting the backing off, then getting the mat aligned with the holes you just cut, then sticking the mat without wrinkling it, and getting the left side flat against the wall behind the exhaust area. Finally, not necessary, but it could be helpful, if you get a new connector kit to replace the connectors on the wires. Definitely recommend a heat gun to shrink that plastic on the new connectors. It also shrinks the rubber mat a bit which I found helpful for fitting it. If you need this, you know what it is, and this is a good replacement. ... show more
