Features

  • Unprecedented experienceThe high altitude suitability mode allows the machine to run smoothly even when driving the caravan to the high Denver plateau at 9,800 feet. Staged combustion technology, which controls the amount of flame in summer, prevents the water from getting too hot and saves the limited propane gas available for caravan travel.
  • All RV water heaters can be replacedThe Fogatti RV water heater have a wide range of applications. The opening is 13 x 13 inches and the door is 15 x 15 inches. It can replace Suburban and Atwood's 6 gallons tank water heaters, as well as Girard and Furrion's tankless water heaters. If you previously used a 10 gallons tank water heater, it would need to be retrofitted with an 18 x 18 inches door.
  • Incessant hot waterWith 55,000 BTU of power, it can produce a maximum of 2.9 GPM of hot water. Some tank heaters can only store up to 6-10 gallons of hot water and run out of hot water in 5-8 minutes, whereas our hot water supply lasts over 40 minutes.
  • No waitingRV tankless water heaters are taking off. Tankless water heaters are better than tanked water heaters for continuous showering of multiple people. There is no need to waste 20-30 minutes waiting for hot water in the middle of the shower, so you can enjoy hot water at all times. It uses propane for heating, so there is no need to worry about running out of power in your caravan.
  • Save money and troubleFogatti has always thought of you, with a pressure relief valve built into the product, so you don't have to buy and install it separately. And it also comes with a 15 x 15 inches door and an intelligent remote controller up to 2 meters long.
  • Safety and reliabilityThe product is CSA certified and has multiple protection features such as a built-in forced exhaust fan on top, stable combustion, automatic gas shut-off for accidental flame failure and anti-freeze.

  • Great replacement for traditional tank heater
Style: InstaShower 8 Plus Color: Black
Easy to install, powered right up and provided consistent temperature hot water. Temp does fluctuate initially, but levels out as water flows. If you're replacing a 2-way tank water heater, make sure the propane circuit 12v is used... Looking forward to saving weight, water, and propane with this unit. The optional large door fits the old opening perfectly, but come on, include the door in the price, make it a selectable option. ... show more

  • The best on-demand water heater for the money!
Style: InstaShower 8 Plus Color: White
I purchased and I nstalled the Shower 8 Plus 55,000 BTU and it fired right up immediately and I had hot water within seconds. It’s a self contained unit that includes the high pressure relief valve. The only external part’s considerations you will need to make are the 1/2”” water inlet and outlets and the 5/8” male gas fitting that is on the back of the unit. My advice is to buy two flexible 1/2” faucet lines that include the 1/4 turn shut off valves on one end and 1/2” shark bite connection on the other end. Simply cut your existing 1/2” PEX lines in the appropriate locations and slip the two new flexible lines on and tight by hand the other end onto the inlet and outlet of the water heater. The shutoff valves will allow you to be able to shut off both water lines in case you need to service and flush the unit without having to shut off water to your entire RV. The electrical is self explanatory and uses a 12V positive and a negative/ground. The included digital controller uses two small wires that connect to the two blue wires on the back of the unit and it doesn’t matter which way you terminate the blue wires to the controller. Make sure you clean the outside mating surfaces before attaching the twelve screws on the outside of your RV and use new butyl tape and/or a good marine sealant to prevent leaks. Inside where your water heater sits screw down a couple pieces of wood snug on each side of the unit to help keep it stable so it won’t tend to shift when your RV is going down the road. That will prevent stress on the outside mating surface during transports. Overall I’m super satisfied with this water heater. I run the temp at 109 degrees and it’s perfect. It runs very quiet. You will have hot water when the electricity is out or if boondocking. Propane is cheaper than electricity and this unit is more efficient than older units and tank water heaters. It’s definitely worth the investment if you are on the fence just know that it’s a high quality product that is well put together with quality parts and materials. Fogatti customer service is better than other companies so that’s another reason to buy from this company. I threw my 100% working Suburban tank water heater straight in the trash bin and didn’t look back. I didn’t shed one tear and I threw it like an angry gorilla! I can now have continuous hot water! ... show more

  • Straightforward installation
Style: InstaShower 8 Plus Color: White
Just finished installation yesterday and tried it out in the driveway. We are at 7000 feet. Installation was straightforward. I wish you had a choice of doors when you order. We had to purchase the 15x18 door separately so now we have the 15x15 door that we have no use for. We replaced our 6 gallon Atwood that finally gave it up. Seems to work great. We’ll find out more next month when we head out camping. It times out after 20 minutes but nobody needs to be in the shower that long when camping anyway. The shower is hot in about 15 seconds with 60 degree water feeding it. We would recommend it so far. ... show more

  • Inconsistent temps and constant errors..now control board issues
Style: InstaShower 6 Color: White
I had high hopes for this thing, I live full time in my RV and hated the old standard heater which allowed only about 5 minutes of off/on showering. Since there are so few makes of RV tankless, and this one allegedly has mainly high ratings, I decided to give it a chance. But after a few months of use, it has been a mess. The two major problems: Very inconsistent temperatures when running. I have it set to 114, it ramps all the way up to 120-122, then drops to 113, then rollercoasters from 113 down to 104 then back up again. I have a pressure regulator, good pressure, and a showerhead of 1.5gpm. (I am at an altitude of 5900 feet, but the manual and specs claim this unit will work at this elevation.) It has now started to constantly throw errors, "E8" which is wind pressure switch fail. The blower continues to run, but it acts like no combustion air is flowing. If I turn the water off before it beeps three times and turn the water back on, it will reset but then throws the error AGAIN. Every shower now takes at LEAST two resets to complete. On the installation side, the wires to the keypad were prestripped all the way at the outer covering, so I had to cut the end and restrip it correctly to avoid the wires shorting. (If your unit has a non-responding keypad, check that connection to make sure the wires aren't shorted. ) For the money, and for all of the claims it makes, this thing is a serious disappointment. I will be contacting Fogatti in the next few days to see what they say about it. I will update this review IF they actually fix these issues (I read a review where a new control board fixed it, hopefully that is all this one needs.) That said, one would think that Fogatti would have these issues sorted out. But the repeat issues with multiple units make me question the quality and reliability of this heater. On the plus side, the installation was pretty easy, but be sure you have the metric to US standard water fittings, despite the manual claiming that the water threads are US standard, they are not. Would I buy this again or recommend this to anyone? As of right now, no way. For the same money I could have gotten a standard tankless unit and adapted it to my use. (I am in a fixed location and won't be moving my RV around.) UPDATE#4 : So, after over TWO HOURS on the phone, first with Fogatti, who was as usual NO HELP WHATSOEVER, then they passed the buck to Amazon, then Amazon (the first rep sent me to a different level of Amazon support, where they claimed that they couldn't "verify my account" with repeated attempts (even though the first level verification went through in seconds), they made excuses and hung up on me. I recalled and the second CS rep couldn't even get me transferred to the next level...so they are trying to avoid this mess. This second rep was very nice, and suggested I email Fogatti which will be my last attempt with them to get this resolved. To be clear, I feel this is NOT Amazon's fault or responsibility, however Amazon does need to take some responsibility and hold Fogatti accountable for their continuing to sell defective products then ignoring the customers. I will keep updating this until I get a heater that actually works, or my refund. Stay tuned. UPDATE #3 Here we are in Sept 2023, and STILL NO RESPONSE from Fogatti. My unit is now have the "short circuit/flickering display" issue that others have reported, it is back to rollercoater temps and multiple random reboots. I have to leave it switched off from power when not in use. I cannot trust it to not short out completely and start a fire. I will be seeking legal council soon and looking at possible action against Fogatti for continuing to sell an obviously seriously flawed product, and it may turn into a class action based the MANY negative reviews I have been reading here. Fogatti Store, if you are reading this: This is your LAST CHANCE to make this right. I want a replacement unit that actually works as it is supposed to shipped to me immediately, or a FULL REFUND. I am tired of your "Customer support" ignoring the issues and failing to fix this mess. UPDATE #2 Well, tech support, which was good, is now living up to its bad reputation. I called on June 1st, spoke to "Victor" who promised to speak to a tech and get either a replacement control board or whole unit sent out to me. I was supposed to get an email within a few days as a follow up. Well it is now June 20,2023 and no board, no replacement heater, and no email. I have downgraded this review to one star, and it would be zero star if possible. In the now extremely unlikely event Fogatti gets their act together and makes this right, I will revise my rating once again. But at this point I am about to demand they take it back, give me a full refund INCLUDING installation costs, and I will buy a regular tankless and make it work for my rv. For the amount of money I have spent on this thing, I could have bought a Takagi or other REPUTABLE brand of standard tankless. (I use hookups full time so it would work a lot better. ) UPDATE #1: After a few calls with Fogatti, (who BTW answered fairly quickly and were willing to help) they had me reprogram a few settings which helped a little, but it still is not holding steady temps and instead of errors it now like to reboot randomly whether in use or not. I will try calling and getting them to send out a replacement control board as a last-ditch effort to get this thing to work right. If that resolves the issue I will again update and possibly change the overall rating. If it fails to resolve the issue I will downgrade this to a one star rating. ... show more
