  • High Quality Tankless HWH
Size: 18.11” x 18.11” door
I have had this unit now for a couple months and it has worked flawlessly, even through 11 degree days, it has not froze up or had any issues. And the quality is High on this unit, from the unit its self to the controller that you mount on the wall. I do recommend when buying this Furrion tankless HWH, make sure your pay attention to the size door you are replacing & selecting when purchasing , like in my case i replaced a 10gal Atwood HWH and i had to get the 18x18 door. It does come with it, but it gives you other size options. Another thing was it took 6 to 8hrs to install this thing!! Thats removing the old and installing the new. It doesn't just slip in the existing hole, you need to build a square box from pressure treated lumber for it to mount to because the New HWH is smaller then the existing hole, by like 4inches or so. I also had to order a little PEX pipe and Butyl tape for the install. I After the install, i turn it on and it keep showing a E1 (error) code. That meant the propane pressure regulator was not giving the correct gas pressure. So after ordering and installing a new Propane gas regulator,(59$) for a dual, the Furrion Tankless HWH has been 100% GREAT! What a MUST HAVE UPGRADE for full-timing Its been the best upgrade we have done in over 3 years of full-timing. Yes its a little more money, but worth it because you get what you pay for in the end and the cheaper units have given many people problems.=No Thanks... We now enjoy 30 minute showers on the regular., and can go a hour easily if we want to :-) And by the way we have used half the propane that our 10gallon Atwood was using. Now a #40lbs tank gets us about 2 months. So thats a little bonus you get with this unit, because every little bit saved helps in todays economy. 2 Thumbs up, & 5 Stars given! ... show more

  • Great Heater!
Size: 16.14” x 16.14” door
This thing is awesome and actually pretty simple to install. The hardest part of the install was fishing wires from the water heater cabinet to the 12v fuse block. But other than that, it was super simple! It does take a few seconds maybe 30 for the hot water to start, but that would only be an issue roadside or boondocking. ... show more

  • Super efficient and works great!!
Size: 18.14” x 16.14” door
I purchased this water heater for our travel trailer that we were going to be setting up on a year round camping spot this spring. I wanted to make sure the 4 of us could shower and not be rushed since it’s our summer home away from home. The first one we got was bad right out of the box, and we didn’t find out until we were all set up at the campground 3 hours from home. We tried everything under the sun, double checked wiring, everything. The unit was just bad. Rather than fight with customer service, I purchased this one from Amazon and sent the previous one back to the company I got it from. My husband swapped them out, hooked it up and it worked fantastic. We set the temp at 122 and it’s perfect. We’ve used it for a few weeks now, 3-4 days per week when we are at our camper, with each of us showering 2-3 times a day (not rushing either), and we have only used about 1/2 a 30lb propane bottle. That includes all of our showers, cooking, grilling, and everything else that uses propane. So I would definitely say the water heater is efficient on propane and a great investment for someone looking for more than a 2 minute shower with standard 6 gallon heaters. ... show more

  • Frustrated
Size: 16.14” x 16.14” door
Had high hopes but, not pleased. Having error code after only 5 days of use. The description is a bit misleading in that the dimensions are for the edge of the exterior door. The unit is too small to fit in a 16" opening. Had to build a frame for proper fit which came with extra costs. The temperature is all over the place and not steady in most cases. I can set the unit at 100 degrees but, it will get much hotter and not hold a steady temperature. In 1 instance, Had it set to 100 but, it rose as high as 154 degrees! Not safe for anyone, especially children at those temperatures. I have a different brand I'm my motorhome and it stays steady. I went with this Furrion because of the capacity. Another issue is, if you are showering and someone flushes the toilet, the unit will fault out. We have high water pressure so, that should not be a problem. My biggest issue now is, after 5 days I'm getting an E1 error which signifies low propane pressure. However, I've switched to another tank and, I've also tried it running 2 tanks at the same time. Still, the issue remains. Information states a possible faulty regulator. It's only been used 5 days! Waiting for a solution from Furrion or this will be returned. I'm not angry, just frustrated. At this price point, I expect much better. ... show more

  • The Endless Hot Water
Size: 18.11” x 18.11” door
I live in my RV. Have been in it for about 8+ yrs. This is the second time to replace the 10 gal. water heater and decided to try the tankless out. I went with the Furrion because of the ratings and comments of previous customers. It was fairly simple crossover. Already had a 16x16 opening so had to frame in a little for mounting and built a platform for it to rest on. Gas line was able to flex enough to mount to the gas port. Water was done with PEX and shark bite fittings. 12v power was a simple splice connector once I figured out which wires were which. Locating the control module and fishing the wire under the cabinet and through the wall was a bit of a challenge but I got 'er done. I love the hot water that keeps on coming and the amount of gas I am saving. I don't like the loss of water pressure to the hot water. That could be resolvable in the future. I'm not a fan of the amount of cold water wasted to finally get hot water, but that is one of the trade offs you make to switch over to tankless. I have had drips from both of the fittings on the cold water inlet and the hot water outlet. It has traced back to not using enough pipe thread tape on the male nipples. DON'T skimp! I used about 3 rounds of tape and mounted the fittings on the unit before installing it. I should have wrapped it 6 or 8 times. The hot leaked first. Pretty easy fix. Now the cold side has a drip and is not as easy to get to. But... I'll get it. Hope this helps out. ... show more
