It heats the water very well first time with instant water heater so don't know if the 30 second to one minute heat time is normal but we are very happy with the output of the unit. I had a couple things pop-up for me on the install but they were not related to the unit it was a breeze to install and again We Love It have hot water at all areas wee need it. It's super easy to set temp to right where you want it.

The RV water heater has been installed and is operating smoothly. Everything is proceeding without issue. Really Good. This is the first time that I have lived a full-time life as a camper. I knew very little about campers and instant water heaters. I spent a lot of time researching and finally decided to purchase the Orbek RV water heater. Specifications list this as the power source being corded electric. It’s NOT an electric hot water heater. After going back and digging I was able to find ONE picture (NOT directly in the listing pictures) that shows a gas inlet. But I didn’t dig that far trying to make my purchase. I’m not super familiar with these kinds of things and purchased this so my husband could install it in our RV. When it arrived he knew immediately it was propane… but because of the hook ups. I’m honestly just pretty annoyed that it wasn’t listed ANY where on the listing information a the specifications say electric.

Appears to be well-made. Delivers hot water on demand, as it should. Only major complaints are the wired control cable length is only 1.0 meters which forced me to put the control in a cabinet near the floor instead of with the rest of the control center, and the holder for the control does not have a notch for the cable to come out the bottom or pass through the back. Would like to see a 3.0 meter cable or a ethernet-style cable option so that the control could be mounted in a more logical place. I will probably experiment with splicing in some cabling myself and modifying the holder later and hope it works.

The online instructions for hot and cold water connections need to be more detailed. I took the water heater to a hardware store and purchased the necessary fitting--just a basic 1/2-inch female thread to 1/2-inch PEX pipe connector. Overall Good water heater
