  • Disappointed, But Company Very Responsive & Made Right
I was so excited that I finally decided on this folding treadmill with a more powerful motor at 3.0 hp instead of 2.25 or 2.5 hp as most other space saving folding treadmills of this ilk. It took longer to ship than I would've like, but oh well. How it folds down is fine, but the locking mechanisms could be better designed where you don't have to fully take out the short and long knobs. I think something that latches in place would be better. So this is to me a design issue. I followed the installation instructions which are not complicated, including oiling the belt. I have no idea where the oil filling port is and this made no sense to me. I turned on the treadmill and is sounded fine, quiet. Once I stepped on, there was this scraping sound that was so annoying. I let it run with me walking on it for a bit to see if it would go away. It did not. The treadmill sits on top of a very low level carpeted mat, but my plan was to have it on carpet. I removed the mat to see if the sound would still occur. It still did. So at least that sound was not coming from the floor surface. I just now decided to tilt the treadmill to be about 90° to the floor. I used the whole bottle of the lubricant it came with to put underneath both sides of the belt. I untightened the hex bolts at the end of the treadmill and made sure the belt was right in the middle. I retightened, but not overly tightened the bolts. Ran the treadmill in this position. As long as ZERO weight/pressure is applied to the belt, it is quiet. As soon as I applied hand pressure, and not very much force, I heard the scraping sound again. The belt is not scraping against any surface. The only thing is a few pounds of pressure from my hand. I have tried all the things that people have suggested in the comments, but that scraping sound is so annoying. I have contacted Urevo and let's see what they will do. Also, my remote is dead. I used the the battery they provided. Not working. I opened a new Energizer battery pack that I have and put that in. Still not working. So I've asked for a replacement of one that works from Urevo, but if a part of this is that scraping sound, I just cannot live with that. I will update my review as I hear back to see what Urevo will do to help me. Updated 10/1/2022 I had gotten a resolution with my treadmill as good as it's going to get. Urevo was very responsive to me but they respond during the work week and not over the weekend. I did send them through Amazon an email regarding the scraping sound. I looked up here in the reviews and online what people did for the scraping sound and nothing worked. These were the things I did: - made sure the belt was centered on the track - put the oil they provided with the treadmill under the track on both sides and ran for 3 minutes for it to disperse the lubrication - put the treadmill on a tile surface - placed the pads under the 6 areas of the treadmill floor contact points - tightened the belt - untightened the belt The belt ran quietly with no one or anything on the track, but even placing your hand with a few pounds of force caused it to have that scraping sound. I took a video, as Urevo as me to send them a video, which I did. They said if it would be alright to send out a new replacement, but I didn't want to chance having 2 treadmills not working. They did not have me send the treadmill back to them. So it's a huge paperweight or I can get rid of as I so choose. Urevo refunded my full purchase, as I did nothing to cause the problem and got a defective treadmill. They did everything within what I thought very reasonable. So, in the future, if there are other products, because of their responsiveness in addressing my issue, I will consider another Urevo product. I upped my rating from a 2 star to a 4 star because of the willingness for Urevo to make this right. ... show more

  • Basic Foldable Treadmill at Reasonable Price
My UREVO treadmill (model URTM003) ordered on Amazon.com arrived in just a few days. The unit was adequately protected during shipping by the box with padding and plastic to protect while inside the box. Plastic straps kept the box and contents secured during shipping and were easy to snip to get the box open. Taking the treadmill out of the box could be done by one person but was easier with a second person to help lift and control. The unit comes in the folded position. When folded, the unit is about 5.5 inches tall so sliding under a bed or couch is quite possible. When unfolded, the unit is about 38.5 inches to the top of the control panel and handles. Base is 56 inches by 23.5 inches with the tread being just over 17 inches wide by 45 inches long. Control panel is 27.5 inches wide by 8 inches with the handles adding another 12 inches. The display panel oval is 14.5 inches wide by 4 inches tall with the display panel centered being 3 inches wide by 2 inches tall. The phone / tablet holder slot on top of the panel is 8 inches wide by 0.75 tall and goes down by 0.75 inches deep. Your iPhone or the like can be positioned at left or right and not cover up the display while in portrait orientation. Using the phone in landscape orientation does not cover up the display. Either orientation may not provide a good viewing angle when using the provided slot so you may want to consider alternate arrangements for entertainment while using the treadmill (like using it while in front of a television or consider getting an adjustable stand to hold your phone / tablet in front of the treadmill or one that clips on). Thickness of the control panel is just under 1 inch at the top left and right corners. Thickness of the vertical supports is 1.25 inches. Moving the folded unit was easy enough using the small wheels at the front of the base. Positioning and unfolding the treadmill was a one-person effort. Lifting up on both sides of the unit met with some resistance but was what I expected during the initial unfolding. Same for unfolding the panel and arms. Display panel / controls / handles with heart rate monitors locks into position using a wing nut screw bolt on either side. A larger wing nut screw bolt locks the extension to the base on either side. Five foot power cord is located at the front corner of the treadmill next to the lighted power switch. Documentation indicates that the treadmill has been lubricated but you may want to check after an initial use to make sure there is adequate lubrication. Follow the included directions to apply lubrication (recommended after 1 year or 100 hours of use). Treadmill has 12 preprogrammed workouts or can be used in manual mode. In manual mode, when pressing the START button the unit counts down 333, 222, 111, then starts at 0.5. Pressing the "+" button will increase the speed by 0.5 until the maximum setting reaches 8.7. When pressing STOP at the maximum speed, the treadmill slows to a complete stop in about 18 seconds. The safety stop magnetically connect to the inside center of the panel and will stop the treadmill when disconnected. Doing this at the maximum speed stopped the treadmill in about 5 seconds. Initial use of the treadmill provided a consistent pace in manual mode. Normal width between feet when walking didn't cause me to walk off either side of the treadmill nor touch the front or fall off the back. Care should be used when putting weight on the handles where heart rate is monitored. Although sturdy enough, I wouldn't bet on them supporting your full body weight (documentation says that unit support up to 265 pounds / 120 kilograms). Resting your hands on the panel was comfortable enough when needed. Display panel is large enough to be able to read easily while using the treadmill. In manual mode, the display alternate between distance and time. Heart rate and speed are indicated in smaller numbers at the bottom of the display along with calories burned. Larger numbers are about 0.75 inches tall with the smaller numbers being about 0.4 inches tall. The display shows black numbers against a white background and is always on when the unit is powered on. There is no dimming control for the panel. A remote is included with the unit which has a strap to keep it tethered to your wrist while using the treadmill. Use of remote is simple with PLUS and MINUS buttons along with a power button. Note that the side for PLUS and MINUS is opposite those on the treadmill panel controls. A CR2032 3V button battery is included with the remote. The manual included with the unit is 21 pages long and is written in English. No other language manual came with the unit. It is 8.5 inches by 5.5 inches and is in black and white on glossy paper. Two staples hold the pages together which allows you to fold the manual to lay flat on a table without the pages beginning to turn on their own (which may be important if you have both hands occupied when performing the recommended maintenance or equipment checks). Tools needed to adjust the belt are provided along with a multi-tool for any other adjustments that might be needed. There is a noticeable "new" smell to the treadmill when pulling it out of the box, but this will likely fade with time and use. The 3.0HP motor is not loud but it's not whisper quite either. You'll likely need to bump the volume up on your entertainment while using the treadmill. If you're looking for quiet when walking / jogging / running, step outside and consider doing your exercise the old-fashioned way. The times I've used it thus far have provided the workout that I expected. I would recommend this unit for others to purchase and use on a regular basis. ... show more

  • Great way to get extra steps in
Color: Black
Pleasantly surprised by this walking pad/treadmill. It was pretty easy to assemble and get started on. Took a while to get the belt centered and I do regularly have to adjust it. However, overall, it doesn't require too much maintenance. It's very easy to operate. I usually use the remote, even though it can be manually adjusted on the display. The remote allows for you to turn it on, pause, increase or decrease the speed. If you pause the walking pad while in use, it will stop and then start again at 0.6 speed. I like that because if it started any slower it would be too slow for me. I don't use the distance tracker as I rely on my Fitbit to track my steps and distance. Overall, I am very pleased by the walking pad and can easily get an extra 2-3k steps in during working hours now. ... show more
