This appears to be a well made awning for the cost. Don’t leave it up in a storm or when it’s windy, but you can’t do that to expensive ones. The fabric is medium quality. I’m considered to be very handy and I’ve installed awnings before but they did not have to be assembled. I saw videos prior to installing it. And I still had to take it back apart twice to get it right and even now I think I might have two parts at the wrong angle. Put a tarp down so it does not get scratched. Carefully watch the video a couple of times and and don’t get frustrated when the instructions don’t know the difference between a screwdriver and a wrench. I’m great with my hands and still had issues, but in the end it’s a nice addition to our club house, it looks great, plan on 3-4 hours for the first awning and 1-2 hours for your second one. You need two people to hang it but one person can assemble it. The kit comes with concrete anchors and lag bolts for wood studs. You’ll want a socket set, an Allen wrench and a Philips head screwdriver. The instructions don’t clearly indicate how install the outside white bar and I got it upside down and backwards the first time, there are also some square slides that go in the outside bar that were skipped in the instructions. Don’t put the white end caps on until you are ready to hang it, you’ll have to take them off a couple time lane when you have to correct things and they go on easier than they come off. Hope this helps. Better photos and labels on the parts would help. Like a sticker that reads “ this side faces away from building” on the whit bar and an indication that tells you which grove is for the awning and which one is for the trim fabric would help. ... show more

Why do we purchase products on Amazon? It's because we get great stuff at Excellent prices! When it's not an Amazon stocked item such as this ...it's the sellers responsibly to make sure everything is perfect. This seller is top notch Excellent! My awning had a really rough trip and arrived damaged....absolutely no fault of the seller.....but they asked for some details and pictures and shipped a replacement ASAP even before I got all the pictures to them! This seller and product are both excellent. The paper instructions are a little difficult to understand completely but make perfect sense when you watch the recommended assembly video. You definitely get more than your money's worth...and add the excellent customer service and sellers response time...and this is a best buy! I am about to order a second awning from them today! Very nice product. My back deck is so high , I designed and welded up two roof mounts. This awning only mounts to a wall. Looking forward to the shade.
