If you drive an electric vehicle, the last thing you want is to be stranded somewhere without the ability to charge. With typical trips around town or to work, you know the limits of your range and don't have much anxiety over it. However, with any road trip or extended day trip... you'll want piece of mind knowing you can plug in pretty much anywhere and receive enough charge to get you home or at least to a proper fast charger. This charger fills that need and quiets that range anxiety rather well. First off, it works great and automatically adjusts charging output to meet the voltage capacity of the outlet. I do wish it was capable of more than 32 amps just to speed things up... but many outlets won't even allow for this unless a 240v like a dryer outlet. The overall size is small enough to easily pack in your trunk (or frunk) without taking up too much space... and then it's always there if you need it. The display is very nice ... telling you exactly how many amps your vehicle is being charged with, the line voltage, time spent charging, and kwh used/charged. There are plenty of adapters for the plug end making this kit useful for most any application. You will need a SAE J1772 adapter for Tesla use but these are found everywhere on the market these days. Overall, I'm very pleased with the size, weight, and performance of this charger and now carry it in my Model 3 daily to reduce that 'what if' worry when the less than 10% charge remaining notification pops up.

I encountered some difficulties when trying to adjust the amperage on my product. I reached out for support, but unfortunately, I didn't receive any responses during regular operational hours, despite the fact that they sell their products in the USA. It would be greatly appreciated if their customer service could be more accessible during business hours to assist with such issues.

This charger is almost perfect for my 240V dryer outlet, which has a rating of 30 Amps for maximum peak current and 24 Amps for continuous charging. Previously, I had a generic J1772 240V charger rated at 16 Amps (with a Tesla adapter), as it was considered the safest option for 240V dryer outlets. However, the Voltre charger has pleasantly surprised me with its 50% faster charging speed compared to my previous charger. In fact, it would be even faster if I had a dedicated outlet from the breaker, rather than relying on my 240V dryer outlet conversion. The build quality and functionality of the Voltre M2 Lightning charger are excellent. It offers adjustable charging rates from 8 to 32 Amps, allowing me to customize the charging speed to my needs. The 25-foot cable provides ample length to reach my vehicle comfortably anywhere in the 2-car garage, adding to the convenience factor. My only complaint is the included adapter is not suitable for 110V or any residential 240V outlets in the US - most residential homes in Southern Nevada come with gauge of solid 10 AWG wiring, which is capable of handling up to 24-30 Amps (countinous/max) - so this adapter will not serve as an emergency converter when users are need of charging in a 110V-only house/hotel. My suggestion to the manufacturer is to change the complimentary adapter to NEMA 5-15 to enable Level 1 charging in case of users emergency use. Overall, the Voltre M2 Lightning EV Charger has exceeded my expectations in terms of charging speed and performance. Its ability to provide 1.5x to 2x faster charging compared to my previous charger is impressive compared to those generic 16 Amps J1772 chargers. The build quality and customizable charging rates (remote control through app) are also commendable. I highly recommend this charger to anyone in need of a reliable and efficient charging solution for their Tesla and non-Tesla EV cars.

The media could not be loaded. The M2 Level 1 & 2 EV Charger by Voltre, is a very functional, good quality charger that offers versatility, making it a great choice to consider among the ever increasing EV charger world. Here are some of the things I’ve learned while owning it and things to consider before buying. I. Quality – This is a well-built charger overall being both functional and durable, but not top of the line. I’d put it in the upper-middle range of the quality scale and guess it should last a long time assuming the electronics survive. II. Usability – It offer a good range of charging amps by allowing both a 5-20 charging tip and a NEMA 14-50. The 5-20 adaptor is something most don’t come with and is usable on any NEMA 14-50 plug. The wires are on the thicker side (not the thickest I have), allowing for less heat and stress, when used for extended charging’s. The main head unit is somewhat basic in its offerings versus more high end chargers, but does provide the needed information. It also, comes with a padded travel case that’s on the nicer side for an included EV charger case. III. Missing – It’s important to note that mine didn’t come with the NEMA 5-15 adaptor like the add claims. It only had the 5-20 that required a different 20A Socket then most people have. However, I really only use the NEMA 14-50 as that’s the only way to get a charge at a decent speed. Overall, this is a solid choice for both transportability or just to use daily. If you’re willing to spend more, there are better quality and more sophisticated options, but in the end they’ll both charge your car sufficiently and this one really is a nice choice. However, some do offer 40-50A charging capabilities, that will charge your car noticeable faster if that’s desirable. I’ll be sure to update this review, if I ever start to have problems with it. If you’d find it helpful to see an up-close visual inspection of this product, I recommend you watch my included video in full screen or landscape. They say a picture is worth a 1000 words, well it’s a video! You can trust that this review is simply my honest opinion that is attempting to provide you with helpful insight that I wish I had before I picked this product.
