    • It’s better than expected
I got this on sale as gift for someone else. I liked it enough to want to buy another one, but not at full price (see ‘con’), so I am waiting and hoping. The first use of this was on heavy snow that had fallen, but was not too deep, say about 2 inches. It had not been shoveled the first day, so it was a good test as it was not fluffy. Pros: It moved the snow It did not throw it so far as to be annoying to the neighbors The little snow adjuster flaps help, but it’s really mostly the direction in which you use the tool and the wind that makes the most difference in direction It was harder to assemble than I thought it would be, but since it only has one joint that must be connected it wasn’t bad. The confusing part is that there does not seem to be a hole pre-drilled for you to finish tightening the assembly. But in the end it works as it self taps if you go ahead and tighten the assembly even though it doesn’t appear that should actually work. Since that part wasn’t intuitive, it caused some confusion. Cons Stalls whenever it hits a patch of snow that it deems heavy It cleared the test area but had to restart it every couple of mins. It’s easy to restart - just press the button - but it is frustrating and unexpected as only the shovel knows when a patch of snow feels different than the snow it just moved In the end, it’s worth it. Nice to have for lighter snow when you don’t wanna pull out the full-size blower. ... show more

    • Is It Safe to use on a gravel drive way ?
This was the biggest questioned I had once the product arrived on time and after reading the owners manual it does mentioned twice not to use it on a gravel drive way . Even though the box and write up on on Amazon say that its safe to use on a gravel drive way . Another part in the owners manual mentions that there is a adjustment you can make to use it on one but doesnt provide any instructions on how to do it . I did go ahead and use it on our drive way which is gravel but packed down in most areas and others parts there is no garvel at all . Use common sense when operating the shovel it does through loose rocks .The chute director were snow is discharged does work great . Dont direct it towards house window ,cars or other people for that reason. Like a snow blower it does spray snow and you will at times get covered with snow dust . Ease of use it does fairly well at performing like the description says I am in my fifites and I enjoy using it ,my mom also use it as well . It is well designed the weight is about right as well . It is not labor intentsive like a regular snow shovel. The shovel was easy to assemble and well packaged . It will definately handle up to 7 inches of snow would suggest removing it in layers rather than 1 pass. The last thing to mentioned is the batteries I ordered two extra . The batteries I think are supposed to last up to 45 minutes or so with a full charge this seems to be fairly accurate as well .It is not uncommon to use two batteries for our drive way . At times we have 2 additinal regular snow shovels going as well. The drive way is good sized and can park up to 5 vehicles . I live in New York State. I would definately reccommend the electric powered snow shovel to those considering purchasing one but the questioned still remains .Thanks for reading the review I hope you find it helpful . ... show more

    • You get what you pay for…
Edited and added. Customer Service is GREAT. They were very receptive to my comments and wanted to rectify any sort of issue I had had with the performance of the machine. I do believe that the machine would be fine in certain areas or certain types of fresh snow. It may work GREAT for you and you could be VERY Happy with it. I was honestly indifferent about it and felt it not for me. Original review below... This works a little bit. If the snow is right… if it’s soft and not ‘crusted’ or icy at all. Also the other issue I had was with the switch on the handle. (I’m sure it’s a safety type of thing but was a pain.) You need to hold two buttons down for it to work. Every time I moved my hand a little the blower stopped and the initial use was about ever 4 seconds. The longer I used it the more I got use to this issue and was able to concentrate on my hand and the control as well as using it. When it blows snow it pushes it almost to straight upwards so move slow or you walk into the flying snow . ... show more

    • Snow has to be fluffy
Update to initial review: I have changed from 3 to 4 stars based on their awesome customer service. After returning the product for a full refund, Voltask reached out to me offering a new upgraded version free of charge. However it was not available after I accepted their offer. So they offered me the corded snow blower 20inch as a replacement. I received today but can't honestly review it until we have snow to use it. Previous review: I returned this product simply because it does not work if the snow is the slightest bit heavy (wet). I have a 30 yr old corded one that works much better than this. Snow was 4" and it was a struggle to get one pass through. Did not blow snow at all. Just kept packing it even when I tried just taking off a small top layer. In addition, it's heavy to use. Not a clue as to how they got it to work so well in the video. ... show more

    • Excellent Customer Service
First and foremost, the customer service is WONDERFUL! I used this to remove about two inches of slush and three inches of snow- it got the job done extremely fast! Product is easy to put together, lightweight, and overall perfect for what I needed. Sadly, the safety button on my shovel got stuck pressed in- it seems like it got caught on the handle start button. This created a safety hazard, because the blades kept running so the only way to stop it was by removing the battery. Unfortunately, now it wont start up. I anxiously contacted the seller, and I was PLEASANTLY surprised! I explained the issue and they apologized. They were SO helpful and SO respectful! They rectified the issue without hesitation.
