The media could not be loaded. The description states that the interior features a soft suede lining, offering both protection and comfort. No suede lining🤷🏽♀️ I’m hoping my dad’s remains will fit fine. I’ve never done this before. And I guess I have to find a nice bag to put inside like advertised. I still have time before the service. It looks good and for the record I’m not complaining this is just hard to do.

I ordered this to use for the ashes of a beloved cat. I knew we wouldn't want to transfer containers from what we picked up after cremation. This urn is extremely spacious inside, way larger than we needed actually, but that's fine. It was easy to open and place the original container of ashes inside. The wood is a very good quality and the picture frame is a nice touch. And because of the way it's designed, it's not immediately apparent that this container is actually an urn. That makes it nice for us as we wanted to place this on a set of shelves in our home, but didn't want to make guests feel awkward or uncomfortable. I imagine most of them will just notice the framed picture of our cat. Obviously this photo urn would work for a pet or a loved one. I think you'll be very pleased with the high quality. The cost is good considering how nice it is.

I bought this beautiful urn for my dog's ashes. My dog was a 65lb Shar Pei/German Shepard mix, and this urn fits the provided metal can of ashes that the funeral home provided to me without any issue, as well as the included card from the vet/home that I also wanted to keep. The urn itself is beautiful, smooth, polished wood. The company includes care instructions, so you know how to maintain the wood quality. The door for the ashes/canister closes securely. There is a slide-in picture frame, which I plan to use for a commissioned sketch of my boy. You can display the urn in either portrait or landscape orientation with no issues. It's actually been almost two years, but I simply had been very picky about finding an actual urn that I liked. Because my dog was a big fan of hikes in the woods and would inspect every fallen leaf with almost scholarly vigor so that he could bring home the best of the bunch, I knew I wanted a wood aesthetic for him. This is the first one where something about the shape, style, and quality and color of the wood just clicked for me. The picture frame is a bonus, because I'd already been planning on commissioning a portrait of him - this solved the question of how to display said portrait in the future. The urn feels solid and very high-quality and well-made. I'm happy with my choice, and it feels right. Thank you to Aspen Studio for creating a beautiful option that finally gave my boy a good resting place.

Admittedly, I got this with mixed intentions. Possibly as a keepsake box that could be displayed, possibly as an urn for beloved pets that have passed. But let’s discuss quality. This is made of walnut, and they chose excellent pieces to make it. Nicely figured, mine has beautiful tonal shift from reddish brown to medium hue. The coating/varnish does have an odor, but it quickly dissipates. The inside is finished and beautiful walnut as well. There is no felt which I prefer. Can’t stand the way it feels and it only attracts lint/hair/etc. The magnets hold the sliding frame cover well, it won’t accidentally drop out. The cut outs for pulling it out are not large enough for my fingers to do so. I have to slide it by pushing the front to the side. The front looks to have two joints, and they could’ve used a bit more refining. In my opinion most wouldn’t notice it, but I took pictures of all four front corners to show. The picture frame backing matches, which is a very nice touch. It’s held in by metal tabs. The picture frame cover seems to be acrylic and somehow I did manage to scratch mine. I’m not really sure how, and it did not come that way. Just something to be aware of when you’re setting it up or moving it around. It was packaged very well and included a beautiful sympathy note from the manufacturer. Overall this is a beautiful item regardless of your use for it.
