  • A purchase I'll be glad of every time it snows hard.
It cleaned 600 feet of snow two feet deep, atop ice covered dirt driveway up a 30 degree slope in about an hour and a half. The snow was wind drifted and hard, and the tracks pushed up-hilll on the ice beneath the snow without losing traction. The best part was when i was all done. I wasn't tired and worn out. I needed to go to the hardware store for 6 mm mild iron bolts for more shear pins. The machine will usually automatically stall the motor before shearing pins, but sometimes at full throttle pins can shear anyway. Rocks can do that, and tree branches hidden in the snow can. The pins shear a little bit easier than on my 30 year old 8 horse Ariens, and I expect them to better protect the worm gear in the transmission. Turning the machine isn't as easy as videos make it look, it takes leaning the machine onto the one track that is pulling, and shoving it around. Though one might expect it to turn on a dime by itself with one track not pulling, it takes a shove too. Turns around 90 degrees it does nicely, no problems. It is very efficient, using less than 1/2 the gas that the old 8 horse Ariens did to do more snow faster. Electric start is wonderful. Traction can't be beat, and I couldn't make the motor stall by jamming into the deep and heavy plowed snow at the end of the driveway by the mountain road. It must have been assembled with a torque wrench, so I'll take some of the bolts loose and redo them with blue Lock-tite, especially the shear pins and bolts holding the handles. I found the ability to raise and lower the height easily a tremendous advantage when going over waterbars and it let me easily select a height just above the stones in the driveway. What i don't like: the spark plug wire won't pull off easily when one wants to safe the machine for clearing debris after getting a jam. Turning off the ignition key and leaving the plug wired up is necessary, though the instructions clearly ask to pull the plug wire. I fear I'd break the plug socket pulling it so hard, it just seems to be permanently stuck on the plug. ... show more

  • Mint Condition New in the Crate.
Bought here on Amazon from Peak Honda in Littleton CO. Just like the other review. I bought the unit on a Saturday and it was at my house on Wednesday. Just perfect. Comes in a Large Crate and was delivered by FexEx express shipping on a lift gate truck.

  • Hard to beat a Honda
Bought here on Amazon from Peak Honda in Littleton CO on a Sunday it came Fedex freight priority and arrived on Wednesday all the way to WI, unbelievable fast shipping and it was crated up very secure, Top notch seller!!! As for the machine it is Honda quality and built very heavily comparable to my old 1970s Ariens. I put the oil in and gave it a test run and everything runs smoothly just like I would expect from a Honda. It should last for many years and blow a lot of snow. ... show more

  • Works great!
We live in Northern Michigan on a wooded private road. This machine has made taking care of our snow a breeze. Don’t have to worry about where to put the leftover snow from plowing, because this thing will shoot it into the next county. Absolutely love it.

  • Just get it It’s a Honda
Built like a tank you won’t be disappointed with this . The quality in this snow blower is just amazing. Gx engine will never let you down. I have 2 power washers and a generator with the gx390 engines. My first power washer has 18 years of service not one problem. 1 pull and it’s running all day. As far as the snow blower it’s a beast very easy to move around for something this size . Adjustment of scrapper bar is easy. Put 2 paint sticks on the left side and 2 on the right on top of each other. That will give you a quarter inch of clearance. If you just use one on each side you get an 1/8. Then you rest your scrapper bar on top of them. Get a pair of skid shoes for the front side . I will recommended armor skid shoes 65 dollars. They built it like an armor tank. Install your shoes once you have your machine rested on the paint sticks. You can even use quarters for this it’s easy no brainer If you don’t have paint sticks. If you have a ruff drive way then you should adjust it for an inch instead of 1/8 or 1/4. Use you judgement on clearance. ... show more

  • Adjust Scraper and Skids before use.
This is meant to be a cautionary tale to serve as a warning for new owners. I had to use this snowblower the day it showed up and figured one run would not hurt. Factory adjustment of the Skids and Scraper drug my auger across the ground my first pass. Not even 1 hour old and I had a ground down auger and filed down skid. Not anyones fault but mine I guess, but I wish I could have used it once without damage due to poor or no adjustment from factory. So dont do what I did and please adjust it, I would even suggest that you install the optional front bucket skids because I needed them. Now the GOOD: 1. Snowblower will throw snow where you need it as far as you need it. 2. Electric start is amazing. 3. It has great traction on incline, no slipping (I have a steep driveway). 4. Headlight is bright. Now the BAD: 1. Snowblower hates going down a hill (decline), bucks around like a bull slamming the front into the ground damaging auger and shroud. I even adjusted the skids all the way down so nothing is even close to touching the ground and it still does it. Something to do with the tracks or maybe hydrostatic transmission, I can't figure it out. 2. No hand warmers. ... show more
