The Husqvarna ST224 Snow Blower is designed for homeowners who need a high- performing snow blower to clear snow from large driveways and paths. This 24-inch cordless snow thrower has a 5.9-HP, 212-cc engine that delivers enough power for efficient snow removal, and a push-button electric start for easy cold starts. An efficient two-stage system delivers plenty of throwing capacity, and a friction-disc transmission ensures smooth operation with six forward speeds and one reverse speed. These snowblowers have a ribbon auger that mixes air into the snow, which makes the snow easier to handle and ensures efficient clearing. Semi-pneumatic tires offer smooth operation, while non-clogging treads prevent snow from sticking to the tires. This Husqvarna snow blower has adjustable plastic skid shoes that allow you to adjust the space between the auger housing and the ground to protect surfaces. Easily accessible controls on the gas snow blower include a rotator to rotate the chute and a lever for changing the vertical throwing direction. The interlock handle can be adjusted to four different heights for ergonomic, single-handed control of the snowblower. It was time to upgrade from my single stage Ariens blower. This Husqvarna unit had everything I wanted (power steering is very nice) and fairly inexpensive. Ordered the day after Christmas and the sellers contacted me the next day to confirm shipping info. I purchased several years ago. all has worked well however, I Purchased a Plate Skid.Shoe Comp part # HUS 583838801 back in November 30, 2022. Purchased from Farmers Exchange in Kennewick, WA. I have followed up with them four times since I purchased the part. They tell me Husqvarna says it's on backorder with no date of delivery. I asked them to please call them and ask what the issue is. They said the would not. I asked for a number they order their parts from and they would not give it to me. I've tried contact Husqvarna direct and get caught on a customer no service recorded phone line. I would think carefully about their lack of service on units they sale. ... show more

The snowblower we've had for about 8 years pooped out, and when we checked locally to see if it could be fixed, it was going to be a few months to get the parts. Anticipating some extensive snowfalls, we decided to purchase this after some research. And good thing we did ... the seller was super responsive and had great communication. I bought this on Amazon in 2018, I've used less than a dozen times and went to use it this season with a large snow storm and found that the cheap plastic bracket that holds the drive shift cable in place had broken off (see photos) It was put away in reverse and so only operates in reverse because there is nothing holding the cable support. To repair this, the entire plastic console has to replaced, not expensive about $45 plus shipping, however, everything attached to the console, such as shift levers, lights, cable supports all has to be removed from the old console and attached to the new console. I loved the machine until this happened and after researching on You Tube, it appears that this is a design flaw. Their customer support "chatted" (can't call anyone) that the design has not been improved or upgraded and is still made of plastic. I plan to sell as is or trade for another snow blower (terrible timing in January)! ... show more

The snow blower has all the features that the higher priced blowers have,I am going to use it to clear driveway if my snowplow breaks also use it clean up driveway since my old plow plows uneven.
