Picked this up a couple years ago and wasn’t so impressed at first but like with anything today you have to go over everything and tighten up. Easy to put together. Pick up a DIY impeller kit and a universal snow thrower cab and you’ll stay warm won’t be covered in snow. Don’t even use the electric start as it starts first pull everytime. Impeller kit will launch your snow another 15 foot and snow/ice won’t freeze up in the impeller housing or chute. You’ll actually be able to launch the wet snow / slush. Keep it lubed up , change the oil , filters and spark plug and get the impeller kit & you’ll be doing the whole neighborhood with a smile on your face. GLTA ... show more

The snowblower is a serious driveway tool that can clear snow effectively. After the hardest winter in the northeast in 20 years the remaining snow piles were no challenge with the auger pulling in and the second stage dispersing over 20 feet away. Easy to use, start, fuel and it did not jam. The machine is weighty at almost 275# but steers with ease.     • PIECE OF JUNK!!!!!!!!!
I Got this through a dealer, but wanted to share. Most useless waste of nearly 2k I’ve ever spent. 3 years in and this unit is Way way underpowered, first storm I used it on I already regretted it. Yearly oil changes, lube and maintenance as well as draining the treated fuel every year. Year three and it still starts first pull, but will not stay running past a few minutes. The LED light burnt out…. And when I say burnt it melted the whole housing and internal connections. Never seen an LED do that. Cleaned the carb & jets pristinely with no luck. OEM carb has been on back order for two months with no end in sight. Pull string just decided to snap on today first pull, with shear marks everywhere so it was doomed. The bolts that hold on the exhaust cover all sheared off during the FIRST year from vibrations. Biggest hunk of junk I’ve ever bought. My 15 year old yard machine filled with mice was more reliable than this. I’m expecting nearly two feet today and have nothing but some shovels at this point. Save your money, frustration and go buy a Honda!!!!! I would give this 0 stars if I could ... show more

I live near Donner Summit in the Central Sierras where we had 677" (56.4 ft) of snowfall last winter. My 20-yr-old machine wasn't able to clear up to 6 ft of compacted, moist, dense snow from my rear deck, over an 8-9 ft high wall of snow beyond it (deck was already 8 ft above the ground). This machine was the only replacement available, ordered sight unseen from Michigan. Luckily, it was able (barely) to do the job. This model has wheels. Although lighter and more maneuverable than a tracked machine the lack of forward weight makes it tend to climb up a dense snowbank rather than dig into it. When this happens, the snow has to be chopped into blocks with a shovel before the auger and impeller can pulverize and throw it. Also, it is unable to climb onto a snow bank for working it down, layer-by-layer. When working close to a tall snowbank the chute is angled too low to clear it. The chute needs allow for a more vertical throw for this kind of environment. Other than those concerns, it seems to work well, and I won't experience too many more extreme snowfall events. ... show more
