  • Arrived as expected
I haven't had a chance to use it but it looks like advertised. Some comments said it was difficult to assemble, but I found that to not be the case. Looks like it will be perfect for the snow I need to move!

  • So far I like what I see
I can’t run a true test of this snow blower yet since we have no snow, but we will in a couple months and I feel ready for it with this unit. It came well packed with little assembly required. You only had to attach the handle, some plastic guides and the control for the chute. It took all of maybe ten minutes before everything was up and running. Operation is easy as well. Insert the two 24 volt batteries, hold the safety button on the side then pull back the handle and the lights come on and the auger revs up. I have a smaller cordless snow blower and a cordless snow shovel so I’m used to using this type of equipment. Take it slow and it will get through even heavy snow. This one features a rubber tipped metal auger which is a nice upgrade from plastic. I think between the power of two batteries and the ability to handle deeper snow, this one will be my new favorite. Honestly, I’ve never been disappointed in any of the battery operated snow movers and where I live, we get SNOW. I have pushed their limits and they’ve handled it. I also like the fact that these snow blowers are quiet. You can be up at 4 AM getting a jump on the snowstorm without waking the whole house up or all the neighbors. The batteries charged quickly. They came about three-quarters charged and completed in no time. The batteries themselves and the charger all have indicators to let you know where you’re at in the process. The batteries are also capable of being charged by USB C which is something new to me. In case you can’t find the charger or it breaks, you have a backup method of charging. I can’t wait to try this rig out and see how long the batteries last and how well that metal auger will eat up that snow. ... show more

  • Decent, but has a common design flaw
I got this to replace a corded electric snowblower that I use for small snowfalls. One reason I only use it for small snowfalls is that when I tried to use it on heavier snow it stripped the pulley attached to the auger. The problem was that they just bonded a metal nut into a plastic pulley and expected that to hold up to significant amounts of torque. It turns out that plastic doesn't make a very good socket wrench. Why do I mention all this? Because this snowblower has the same design and will almost certainly fail in the same way. It's one thing to have that on a 100 dollar machine, it's another on something that's close to 500. The pulley is replaceable (as long as the part is in stock, which can be a problem in my experience) and I was able to fix my old one with a dremel and some JB Weld, but that's a hassle and a big problem if it dies in the middle of clearing your driveway. Besides that, this seems pretty typical for an entry-level electric snowblower. It uses a lot of the same basic parts as my old one, for better or worse. Since there's no snow here and it isn't all that cold yet I can't speak to its real world performance, although I will say I'm a little concerned by the fact that it has a 22" cut. Even my big 2 stage gas ones are only 24", and I'm guessing they're far more powerful than this. Overall I'm happy with this for my purposes, which is snowfalls small enough that getting out my gas blower seems overkill but I don't feel like shoveling the old school way. However, if you live somewhere that gets enough snow to need a snowblower, you probably get large enough snows to overwhelm one of these so make sure you have an alternate snow clearing method too. If this turns out to be drastically better or worse when I actually get to try it in snow I'll update this review. ... show more

  • Packs a punch!
I bought this to replace my 15 year old Craftsman gas-powered snow blower. I was a bit skeptical at first because of how light this is, but it proved to be extremely effective at removing snow from my driveway. The two batteries last a good amount of time, but I fear that they will run out if we were to receive a lot more snow. I will report back upon future large snowfalls and describe what happens! ... show more

  • Literally goes together in minutes, no tool needed.
Well, I finally put the blower together last night for the snow today. Of course, you know the rule... if you build it, it won't come so we have no snow. lol. Anyway, it was four hand screws and two pins and it's ready to go. Heavy enough to stay down but also light enough go carry around by the handle. Nice construction, batteries came 80% charged. Beefy unit, five stars. ... show more

  • Mostly Very Good!
We get a lot of intense winters and snow storms where I've lived most of my life so I know snow and snow removal. First impressions after putting this together and getting it running (it hasn't snowed yet this season): -Some neat features including headlights that shut off automatically after you turn the machine off, a long scooper tool to remove snow that gets stuck in the discharge cute, and a handle to adjust the snow discharge chute (this doesn't seem like it will last, but I've always had to do this by hand with all other snow blowers) -Very lightweight and easy to maneuver...that being said, this is almost all made of plastic -Runs rather quietly and doesn't smell bad like with the snow blowers that run on gas, and the batteries are easy to put in and take out I think this is great for the right person and the right type of snow. My elderly mother could use this--it's so lightweight and easy to use. From my experience I'm thinking this will work fine on powdery snow, but I have doubts about wet/heavy snow. The axel mount is already bent a little being all plastic. It operates fine, but bent a little just from shipping. I'll update this review after I get a chance to use it in the snow! ... show more
