Part 1: So far so good. We have had a few light snow falls since purchasing this snow blow. The snow of 2 inches or less was removed easily and efficiently. After running in this light snow for half an hour, the batteries were still at 50% charge. The snow did not blow 25 feet like in adds, but did blow enough to clean the driveway, which is 150 ft long. This is the night before the big Winter Storm is supposed to hit. It will be interesting to see how this snow blower handles the deeper snow. I gave 4 stars because the unit is mostly plastic making it light but also making it feel cheap or more like a toy. we will see when the real snow hits. I will report back. Part 2: Awesome! Changed to 5 stars! And it did blow snow 20 - 25 feet! The storm has pretty much dissipated, but it is still snowing some. Currently we have about 11 inches of light to medium heavy snow. This WSnow22 did not disappoint. I measure 5-1/2 inches of snow the first time around. First, I made a path to my wife's wild animal feeders. Just a single 22-inch path, but probably 150 feet in total length. Took maybe five minutes. Then I tackled my driveway. It is 150 feet long and 8 feet wide and takes about 5 passes to remove all the snow. The batteries showed signs of depletion with one pass to go, but I cut back on the load about half by removing 11 inches of snow at a pass. I was able to finish in the two passes and could have done a little more if I had wanted to. The batteries recharged in 2 hrs and 15 minutes. It was time to get back to work on another 4 inches of snow. Repeated everything above and I had enough battery left to do the sidewalk. This time it only took 1 hr and 45 minutes to recharge the batteries, so I had a bit of charge left the second time compared to the first time. I take back what I said. This is not a toy! The only issue I had was the spring on the battery cap came off. I don't think anything broke, but I will have to look at it and see. I think it just came out of its hole. The cap stayed in place, so was not a big deal, although I will want to get it fixed. I will likely buy another set of batteries. I wish Westinghouse would offer a second set at a discount when you purchase the snowblower. Most customers will end up buying an extra set anyway.

We had the smaller version of this snow blower (for which we wrote a review), and chose to replace it with this model. So far, we've only used it for one 3" fluffy snow storm. It was OK. We liked the fact this time we could direct a snow chute, in 3 different directions, but we still got covered in blowing snow! Not sure how it will work in a deeper or wetter snow. It was easy to assemble, except for the 2 hitch pins, but we finally got them on!! We used the 2 batteries for the 3" deep snow storm, both of which were fully charged, but both died after 35 minutes!! We thought 2 batteries would last a lot longer, especially where it was only3" of light fluffy snow. We ended up manually having to shovel a large part of our long driveway and parking area for this 2 unit condo area. We've come to the conclusion that if you want better snow removal, a large expensive snow blower is the only answer (or hire a plow person). This one is good for small jobs, but much better than our first purchase, as this one has a 3 directional snow deflector schute. This model (Wsnow 18 48v) comes with a charger for 2 batteries, but that could not charge 2 dead batteries before it got dark outside or before everything froze overnight. It has a headlight, but our batteries died before we could tell how bright it would be if used in the dark. A lot of snow accumulated on the unit during usage. It was easy to turn on and keep it going, (until the 2 batteries died!!!) We honestly don't want to rate this since we've only used it once, but we'll give it 4 stars, and update after we use it again.

My siblings and I all recently moved out of my childhood home and were worried about leaving my parents to handle all of the snow and ice alone. They aren’t old, but they are aging and I wanted them to have a reliable snowblower to easily clear snow when we couldn’t be there to help. I purchased this electric battery powered snowblower because I wanted something cordless and gasless that even my mom could use easily and just recharge when it died. Fast forward a couple months later, I’m house watching for my parents while they are on vacation and we just got a snowstorm—and I absolutely LOVE IT and totally recommend to anyone who is on the fence. I live in the northeast and we just recently got about 1.5 feet of snow, and this thing was awesome. Here are the pros and cons: PROS: this thing is small and easy to push, and still easily clears all types of snow (icy, heavy, powdery, etc.) this snowblower is also EXTREMELY easy to start. You don’t need to pull a cord like a gas snowblower, all you have to do is push a button and hold down on the handle. This thing comfortably clears about 8-9 inches of snow. CONS: While this snowblower is capable of clearing up to 10 inches of snow, the heavier and deeper the snow, the shorter the battery lasts. Because of this, I would buy several battery packs just in case it dies on you in the middle of a snow storm, and I would also recommend snowblowing before the snow gets past 6 inches. I have a long driveway and was able to clear the entire driveway with 8 inches, but the snowblower died before I could do the backyard for the dogs and the sidewalks. Nonetheless, if you’re looking for a cheap and super easy snowblower, this is great value for your money. This can clear up to a foot of snow and so freaking easy you can’t beat it. It’s also extremely powerful and throws the snow super far when snowblowing. As long as you order a few extra batteries with this snowblower, you will be more than fine and your life will get that much easier! So happy I got this for my parents. I feel comfortable and not worried now when it snows and they are alone.

I had my doubts about buying this since i live in Northeast Ohio and we get a lot of snow. I have used this three times now and each time I am happier about this purchase. I have a driveway that is three car lengths and 20 minutes of snow blowing and 7 inches of snow is cleared. The battery died as i finished the apron which was more like 12 inches due to plowing, but my entire driveway and sidewalk is clear now. No more sore back, no more frozen fingers and toes. This is the best Christmas gift i ever gave myself. Noise is very reasonable. Very easy to use. Well worth the money. How long it will last, that is yet to be seen, but the fact that it has done the job 3 days in a row with a minimum of 6 inches of snow each time is good for me! Likely will buy another set of batteries just in case! The light on the front is so helpful. The temperatures this year have been extreme (-22 on two mornings, 38 days never going about 20f) and due to this i believe the cover over one of the batteries has broken off, so i can not safely use this snowblower. I have filed a warranty claim and to this date 2-223-26 have heard nothing, trying again today. I know have to shovel again!

I’ve only had it a few days I live in Wisconsin and we get snow pretty often I have just a small trailer court driveway and a walkway around the house to take my cat for his walks. This thing works great! For $300 it is perfect . I don’t ever wish for snow but I’m hoping for a 4 in snow fall to test it out better today I snow blowed some drifts in my driveway and it went right thru them. Blows the snow far. The steel auger seems to be pretty good quality and durable It’s quiet and so light weight! Starting it is simple press the button and hold down the trigger . I can easily Carry it in and out of the house with one hand. Weighs maybe 30 pounds. The battery’s charge within an hour or so Assembly was self explanatory and easy just get a pliers for the pins cuz they are difficult. I do plan to get a spare set of batteries for heavier snow falls based on other reviews

For less than 6" of snow or powdery, light snow this can mow thru it like grass. It's quiet with the dual batteries and they last long enough to do the driveway and walkways. My dad really appreciates the strong snow throw but of its heavy, wet or too packed you won't have much of a chance. But for fresh, light snow this works amazingly well. Batteries take a bit of time to recharge but they last a while, can even run 1 battery while the other charges.

I got this thing refurbished, and after having used it I now understand why it was returned. It's probably great for light powdery snow less than a foot deep, but for wet heavy snow you're really gonna want something else. It's not powered, so you're shoving it forward without any assistance at all. Maybe that's not so bad if you're young and strong, but I'm middle aged and moderately disabled, and having to brute force it sucked. Sure, it's lightweight, but that doesn't matter when the snow isn't. It also clogs extremely easily. The thing comes with a little shovel for removing clogs, and if snow is wet and clumpy you will be using it all. the. time. It jammed and stopped over and over, forcing me to unclog it every few minutes, which was a lot less than ideal, because again, moderately disabled. The throw distance was pretty ok, when it threw at all. Because it didn't always do that either. Again, probably woulda worked fine with light powdery snow, and if you live somewhere that's all you get, you're most likely good to go. Me? I'm gonna get something else for next winter. I give it three stars because you can't give two and a half. It's a long way away from being ideal for all kinds of snow, but even for all that it was at least easier than trying to shovel.
