  • Great seller (Inverters R Us) - fantastic unit.
Size: 24V
6 months post-install and perfect. This is a fantastic upgrade to my older 24/3000/70 Multiplus. I run this on a 50A 43' diesel pusher RV and had the choice to go with a two inverter system (two legs) or do one. My old inverter used an AM Solar Smart Phase Selector which was used to bridge the AC out to both legs into the AC panel. When that SPS started to hiccup (mechanical switches) after five years, I went to this model. Solved and seamless. If it had it do over again, I might consider the 24/5000 version but we can do everything with this one and it was a great cost-effective solution that delivers plenty of power. If you doubt the value and functionality of Victron - don't. These systems make integrating other Victron devices seamless and safe. ... show more

  • What a Powerhouse!
Size: 24V
Just upgraded my 5th wheel with a 50 amp circuit to the Victron Multiplus ii 24V 3000 2x120. This guy will run every AC appliance without a problem, I had a cheap 3000W inverter before and it would overload when I turned on the central vacuum, not so with MPii, it runs it just fine and I can add AC to boot. I also use this to charge a LiFePO4 24V 200Ah battery it does an amazing job, can set the charging specifications thru the MK3 and voila its set to charge without damaging the battery. I love this unit, however there are some cons that I need to be addressed. 1) The terminal blocks for AC in and AC out are push in type connectors, I wish they would have went with screw down terminals, Only because screw downs have better connections and are easier to work with. 2) When switching from inverting to AC this unit will trip my 120V 20A GFI circuit breaker which checks for a 5ma differential between hot and neutral (Cutler Hammer CH120GF Circuit Breaker), I looked online and from what I can find out is that these are designed to work with 30ma 30A GFI and 5ma is too small of a current to trip on. Well I plugged this guy into a non GFI circuit and it works just fine. 3) Need ability to detect the temperature of the battery to disable charging when it's too cold (similar to what the Victron MPPT solar controllers do). I was kind of surprised that the MPii doesn't prevent battery charging when it battery gets to cold. If the battery BMS doesn't detect and cut off the charging for a LiFePO4 battery charging below 32F, it can cause battery damage, . ... show more

  • Keep wallet open for additional equipment needed
Size: 24V
Works great but and great price i thought! You have to purchase accessories that they don't tell you about.

  • Pike Industries not very supportive
Size: 24V
Make sure your seller is not Pike Industries. I have been disappointed in customer service. You don’t get to talk to Victron directly. Mine failed after 2 trips. Still trying to get it replaced.

  • A Great Inverter for RV
Size: 24V
I have 2 of these Inverters in my RV at 24 volts. Everything is running cooler then with one.

  • Too expensive, only ~1480w backfeed to grid, too complex, and not a polished product
Size: 24V
I hope to expand on this review. First off all, the max this unit will backfeed is about 1480w. It will NOT backfeed 3000w, even when temps are low and battery is fully charged. Someone willing to put in the time CAN get this unit to backfeed, and to work with emporia or other energy monitor, but it takes a bit of work. Basically, the steps are: Use this unit and a cerbo gx, and an energy monitor on the mains. Use Home Assistant installed on a raspberry pi, and then: install plugins on the home assistant so it can get readings from Emporia/energy monitor, then use MPPT protocol to send readings to Node Red on the Cerbo GX, and within Node Red, use custom script to manage energy output and charging. You will also have needed to purchase the USB dongle to connect a laptop to this victron inverter so that you can run VE Configure on the laptop to install ESS into the multiplus (ESS is what will allow you to backfeed to the grid). ChatGPT or other ai can help you figure out any custom coding. To anyone considering all this: please note it will likely be MUCH easier if you are able to use Victron's energy monitoring equipment which can talk directly to the Cerbo GX...then you can skip all the Home Assistant integration and programing, as well can likely skip the Node Red programing. NOTE TO VICTRON (and customers): Victron doesn't provide any customer service directly. Sadly, the most they seem to give is their discusson forums with other users, or tell you to contact the dealer you purchased it from. Victron needs to slim down their system and make it easier to work with. It's absurd to produce two softwares "VE Configure" as well as "Victron Connect" to manage the multiplus. It's also absurd to have to pay ~$70USD for a dongle to be able to change settings on the multiplus...the multiplus should have this hardware internally as part of its electronics, and have a USB port to connect. It's already bad enough that the multiplus doesn't have a "brain" such as the cerbo gx, which I feel should also be integrated into the multiplus. So as a homeowner who installed this system: it's likely barely worth all the trouble/complexity. This current amount of complexity is likely mostly justifiable when ~$7k/year or more is saved, not $1k or $2k; ie, what happens in a few years when something goes wrong and another 3-5 days must be spent troubleshooting/re-learning the complex system to fix it?....not worth it in most cases. Also, the ~1480w or so output was a real slap on the face when this unit is advertised as 3000w output...not sure how this isn't blatant false advertising, or if I'm missing something. (And yes, I know that downstream of the inverter it could potentially output 3000w by combining passthrough and inverter output, but I think Victron should have been clear about output that can be pushed upstream of the inverter; I'm honestly still mad about this every time I think of it.) ... show more

  • Dead out of Box
Size: 24V
Got the victron because everyone told me it was great. Bought it and finally got ready to install and it's dead out of box. Now it's passed return. Junk.
