  • first time using, pumped up 3 tires and air compressor quit.
Style: Jump Starter
bought for husband to take hunting trips out of town,, today was first time he used it. Bringing camper home, he was putting air in camper tires, pumped up 3 tires and air compressor quit on 4th tire. Very disappointed in this Dewalt product because we have all Dewalt tools, they r usually very reliable. VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED ... show more

  • Very useful and compact. I don't need to beg for or pay for someone to give me a jump.
Style: Jump Starter
I've had it for a few months and used it to jump my car 3 times and to top off my tire air. Works great and can handle my V-6 engine very easily. The cables are long enough to be able to sit the unit about anywhere in the engine compartment. I like the tire air pump a lot; makes a secure connection to the tire stem and pumps in air quickly for a portable unit. But the air pump's attached hose connector is pretty much dedicated to filling tires, which makes it work very well for adding air to tires but probably not much else. The displays are good and the controls are easy to operate. I have not tries out the other features (power converter, alternator tester, etc.), but there are a lot of them for a small-ish unit (easily stores in the trunk). It's not particularly heavy for what it is and seems to hold a charge very well. A bit pricey but works very well, has been very dependable (so far, less than a year) and I very much like the ability to be able to jump my car without any hellp (I had a lot of trouble with a bad car battery). It has probably already paid for itself. ... show more

  • Best investment
Style: Jump Starter
I've had this for over 2 years and this thing has come in handy multiple times!!! I love that it doesn't drain the battery quick or anything and it worked out PERFECTLY for our permeative camping trip last year. It has multiple USB charging ports so I was able to charge my phone and my blue-tooth speaker plus the flashlight feature and the fact it is a air compressor to fill my tires up and it's jump starter as well. It's definitely worth the buy and I HIGHLY recommend getting yourself this bad boy. ... show more

  • love this!!
Style: 1600 Amps
This worked amazing. My suburban had been sitting and this jumped it extremely fast then I was going to take it to get gas and realized that one of the tires was really low. I used 2 features right away and both were super helpful. Love this as a single mom I need to have the ability to jump a car fast in a tight space instead of trying to get a second car close. ... show more

  • GOOD QUALITY PRODUCT BUT THERES ALWAYS A BUT.
Style: Jump Starter
AFTER THE FIRST COUPLE USES, THE BATTERY NEVER REACHES A FULL CHARGE AND FAILS TO START THE VEHICLE. THE CHARGE METER SAYS 12 VOLTS, BUT THE BAR METER IS ONLY HALF WAY AFTER A MULTI DAY CHARGE. EITHER THE ONBOARD CHARGER IS BAD OR THE INTERNAL BATTERY IS BAD. NO TOO HAPPY ABOUT IT.

  • Repeat Fails
Style: Jump Starter
Awful experience. After trying many of the vanishing-brand Chinese junk products that have flooded Amazon, decided to get a DeWalt expecting the same experience as with the pile of other power tools I have from them... Wow, what a (repeat) disappointment. The first one arrived with no control knob. Sealed brand new, it got through quality control without a big, critical knob. Wouldn't have gotten a knob from DeWalt in time, so wasted time sending the whole heavy thing back (glad I got it on Amazon vs any other retailer - can only imagine the money and resources wasted sending this thing back and forth). Second one arrived in perfect condition, just in time. Charged per directions in user manual, used it at a track day for numerous tire adjustments. Was glad to have, but didn't need to use, the battery jumper (my vehicle runs its battery down on long track days doing a cooling mode and running cigarette lighter pumps, which is why I wanted this bulky all-in-one). The inflation was fast and handy, though stupidly loud (including the outrageous squealing beeps with every button press). Overall, cord-free "in the field" and not draining my car battery was great. Addictive. Had a month before next track day, so wasted time and money setting up a spot to hang this RELIABLE DEWALT PRODUCT on the wall and bought a fitted-size extension cord to keep it charged (and tidy) per the manual's directions. Great $160 investment! I thought... Day before my next track day, went to top up my tires and... nothing. Dead. No beeps, lights, anything. Wasted time troubleshooting, looking up manuals and how-tos to be sure I wasn't overlooking something. No change. So in one month with about a dozen tire top ups, it died 100%. Of course, 1 day past return window. Amazon CS worked it out (I refunded and won't waste further time on this junk) but that was lucky had it been another retailer or if I'd checked the unit a few days later and had to pay a ton of shipping money to exchange with DeWalt. Had to go back to my falling-apart Chinese noname unit which made the track day stressful, then spend time with Amazon support, then find packaging and lug this tank back to the shipping store (AGAIN). Reading the negative reviews for this unit, I see many report sudden failures and, despite thinking I'd be the exception by careful maintenance according to the manual, here I am too. For you pump manufacturers, what I want is name-brand reliability when I pay for a DeWalt. Period. This product is built like a tank on the outside, I love the big capacity battery, the auto-off tire pump, fast pumping, how everything tucks away neatly, easy to read display, the thick durable hose with all-metal screw nozzle... but your QC is clearly awful and your battery and/or electronics are the same junk I could get in the much cheaper Chinese junk... So if I'm going to get junk, why not buy Chinese junk for much cheaper? That's the problem with many products today, but on the subject of this specific unit, bad job DeWalt. Get the basics right or don't put your name on it. I've got a ton of money in your products and will think twice next time I'm looking for a new tool that'll last. ... show more

This is such a great product I ordered it 3 times. One for me, one for my husband and one for my Das. It's so easy to use and has saved me more then once.

  • Should have gotten one of these years ago!
Style: Jump Starter
I got one of these for me and one for each of my children for Christmas. It seemed like an odd gift, but it has certainly been well worth it. It's only January and we have used them to charge phones during power outage, jump start generators during a power outage, and inflate a tire to make it to a service station. As a 68-year-old woman, I have found the instructions to be clear and each function easy to use. It gives me the peace of mind knowing I can take care of some of these things myself. I am most happy with this purchase and wouldn't hesitate to get this again. ... show more
