  • Great Product
The NOCO Boost Plus GB40 is an incredibly handy tool. I love how compact it is—and most importantly, it works! We used it on a dead battery, and it started the car quickly with no issues. Its small size makes it easy to store, and it’s very user-friendly, even if you’re not mechanically inclined. The built-in flashlight is a great bonus, and it can even charge your phone in a pinch. It’s one of those things you hope you never need, but you’ll be so glad to have when you do. Highly recommend for every vehicle! ... show more

  • As a Tesla Model 3 owner, I wasn’t sure if the NOCO Boost Plus GB40 was something I’d actually need.
It’s marketed as a jump starter for gas and diesel cars, so I wondered if it would really be useful for an EV. But after keeping it in my car and using it a couple of times, I can say this thing is a lifesaver—especially for emergencies involving the 12V battery. The GB40 isn’t going to charge your Tesla’s main battery (that’s a job for superchargers). Instead, it’s for the 12V auxiliary battery. If your Tesla’s 12V system fails, you might find yourself locked out of the car or unable to start it. That’s where the GB40 comes in. It powers up the 12V system, letting you open the frunk, reboot the car, and get things moving again. So, while it’s not about charging your Tesla to drive, it’s perfect for those rare “oops, my car is unresponsive” moments.. aka my dead Tesla. This thing is compact and tough. It’s small enough to keep in your frunk or under the seat, but it feels super sturdy. The clamps are solid, and the whole setup feels really high-quality. It has built-in safety features like reverse polarity protection, which means you won’t fry anything if you accidentally connect the clamps the wrong way. 1. Open the frunk and find the 12V battery. (If you haven’t done this before, look it up—it’s good to know in advance!) 2. Attach the clamps to the battery terminals. 3. Press the power button on the GB40, and give it a few seconds to work its magic. That’s it. Your Tesla should come back to life!! Here’s some tips for ya; Keep It Charged The GB40 holds a charge for up to a year, but it’s smart to top it off every few months or after you use it. Use It as a Power Bank It has a USB port, so you can charge your phone or other devices. This is super useful on road trips or if your phone is dying and you just need a charger (conveniently in the back of your trunk booyeah). Keep it somewhere easy to grab, like the frunk or under the seat. It’s small but powerful. Works perfectly for the Tesla 12V system. Safe and easy to use, even if you’re not super techy. Doubles as a power bank and flashlight, which is great for road trips. Built like a tank. ... show more

  • Small and light weight - Highly recommended
I picked this up just in time. My wife's Lincoln Corsair's battery died unexpectedly and had the chance to try it out. It worked as expected and started the Lincoln Corsair with no issues. It's amazing to be honest. I remember having to flag someone down for a jump. Those days are over. It's small, light weight and easy to use. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • Best charger out there! Simple to use and works well!
If I could give this more stars, I would! Its absolutely fantastic! It jump-started a truck and my car on one charge. It hardly drained the charger. It still has enough power to charge many more vehicles. For me this is the best investment as it really works well. Now no more streching booster cables from car to car which I hate. Just follow the instructions. You have to hear a clicking noise showing that it's charging. Wait a few seconds and boom, It'll start your car! Love it! ... show more

  • One of my best purchases from Amazon
This thing is amazing. I can't believe I hesitated to buy this product. Here is my story: This past Sunday I woke up to my 2014 BMW X5's flat battery. There was a cold snap and within a couple of days my battery was dead. The last time it was functional was Friday night. I called my auto shop on Monday and due to pretty much everyone in the area having dead batteries due to the cold snap, I couldn't get an appointment for a week. I didn't know if I should jump it, or call roadside assistance and drive it around to make sure the battery was fine before next Monday. Instead, I took a chance on this wonderful device. It came yesterday and I was already impressed with just the packaging. It's minimal, sturdy, and accurate. Straight to the point packaging. I opened it up, and started charging the remaining battery. Apparently, it comes 75% charged and you have to do the rest. I used a USB-C cable from my computer and charged it full within minutes. By the way, the USB slots on this device are USB-C. I've seen a few reviews say that it's MicroUSB. The one I purchased is USB-C which was another plus since you can use this to charge your phone. Fast forward to this morning. I let my car sit for another day, which I thought may have been a mistake. I went down to try to use this device to re-awaken my beast... his name is Benny. Benny the Beemer. Anyway... I attached the positive and negative clamps to the posts under my hood. For most BMW owners, those posts are connected directly to the battery which (in)conveniently is in the trunk behind a electrical trunk latch. BMW did a solid adding these posts under the hood so you didn't have to mess with the trunk release. I turned the device on and the light appeared, but the LED's for Boost weren't "chasing" as the manual says. I figured my battery was completely deceased and I would have to call for RA or a tow. I checked the manual again and I missed the spot called "Manual Override". Now, as a sci-fi geek, this intrigued me greatly. Manual Override you say? Yes, if your car has a completely flat battery, so flat that the device cannot detect that it's even connected to a battery, it will not function within the safety limits. Meaning the device doesn't know it's connected to a battery so it will not provide the 2A charge for safety reasons. That's what the Manual Override button is for. I love it. As soon as I pushed that button, the car came to life. It was like Frankenstein's monster. Everything negative turned positive (NPI). See, the Manual Override sends the 2A charge without verifying it's connected to a battery. This lifts the dead battery to at least 2A so you can try and start the car. The car came to life, the alarm started blaring so I jumped into the drivers seat, said a split second prayer to the car gods, and VROOOM! Benny was alive. This device is amazing. I will be buying one for everyone in my family. Everyone should have this device in their car. If it can bring back my 2.5T 11 year old 3.0L twin turbo beast, it can bring backs yours as well. This device can handle anything up to 6.0L for gas and 3.0L for diesel. Buy this now, especially if you live in colder climates. ... show more
