Surprisingly good. Lasted 7 years, used often. Always charged back up. Not the strongest jump starter but very reliable. The battery finally failed so I just ordered a replacement. Be careful to get the correct terminals on the replacement.

First, one thing I have learned is when you get something from Amazon, open it and check it promptly regardless of when you will actually need to use it or gift it. I opened the box for my new battery charger and as soon as the top was open, I saw the light! The light on the top / front of the charger was on with the plastic bag still around the entire unit. The light switch is recessed and has to be held in to turn the light on so, it did not get turned on in shipping. That being said I don't know if this was a New unit or one someone returned with the light on and it was never checked. The manual says it comes fully charged in one place and in another says to charge it for 24 hours before the first use. I plugged it in, and the "charging" notice showed up on the panel and the voltage was just over 11 volts. So, it is charging for the 24 hours and hopefully when I need it to work, it will. The good news is it is a really bright light and it didn't get hot enough, before I opened it, to set the plastic and box on fire. I had previously owned the JNC 660, which I bought in 2011 and it worked great until last Thursday when I went to turn on my car to meet some friends for golf and it was dead and could not be returned to life. So, really can't complain but make sure you chasrge it on a regular basis. You can sign up wiht the manufacturer and they will send you reminders to do a recharge on a regular basis. Nice touch since you really dont't think much about it until you need it to save your batt. ... show more

I got my Jump Starter in start of 2025. It works really well. It has no problems starting an 5.4 liter gas engine, 3.0 liter, heavy duty diesels they kick right over. Its a bit heavy compared to the small portable ones, but you get what you pay for this thing works. Easy to use and carry. Solid design to carry connector cables with device. Easy to jump start vehicles and yard tractors. I would purchase this again. If you hook this unit up wrong you simply didnt follow the intuitive instructions. Safe for anyone. The only gotcha I have is it says it comes with two cords other than the jumping cables. Charging cord is included (Model no. JNC350) and male to male cable for easy recharging. My device did not come with the appropriate cables. I dont know if the manufacturer did not ship them or if its a misprint in the description. I have the original box and all the instructions yet there were no cables to recharge it. ... show more
