I've been having to jump start my Wrangler the past week due a bad battery. I have not had time to get to the dealership to get it swapped under warranty, so I figured I would try this instead of using cables as I've been doing. Right out of the box it worked!! I watched a couple of reviews and no issues at all. It's straightforward. It came with about a 75% charge, and I got 3 charges that day. It went down to 1 light on the charge meter and as soon as I got home put it to charge. Works as advertised. The clamps are high quality and sturdy. Wish it would have came with a storage pouch. I keep it in my boat incase of an emergency. Have to put it in a zip lock bag because it did not come with a storage bag.

Tired of calling family or asking random people for jumps, I searched Amazon for the latest jump starter technology. I was immediately surprised that this kind of product was readily available for $54, but optimistic after seeing multiple similar products with comparable price ranges and feedback. Out of the box it comes with a detailed instruction manual (which I appreciate), and a handy info-graphic/quick-start card which is a nice touch if you don't like reading manuals but want the gist of how to use the thing. Other reviews have noted that it comes with a charge and works out of the box, but I did fully charge it before first use. I needed it pretty much right away for a dead battery on my 2016 Honda Accord, so I clipped it on the battery terminals in two seconds according to the instructions, turned the key, and immediately my car started back to life. One note, is that when plugging the clamp cable into the battery, you do have to push quite hard to seat it in all the way, so I would make sure that it is aligned properly before doing so just to make sure nothing is damaged. For a one time jump start, the thing is worth 5 stars. The reason I gave 4, the device is for emergency use and I am cautiously suspicious about the life expectancy, beyond 1 initial jump, especially considering I will be leaving it in my trunk and that I live in Phoenix, AZ. Yes, the instructions for any type of battery are to not leave it in overly hot or cold conditions, and the Arizona sun in particular is known for draining batteries, HOWEVER, a jump-starter is not useful to me if I can't keep it with my vehicle. I will also be doing maintenance charges every 3 months as recommended by the manual. Will likely update pending further use when more time has passed. ... show more
