The product was used as cover for our back, double door. It took two people to assemble it due to the length. It also required a drill for the front connection into the rounded edge. However, the installed product is great. We also got the amber product, so it provides a nice sun shield also.

The media could not be loaded. Product is better with shorter space! I’ve noticed cracks. Material appears to be a tad fragile. The just don’t make plastic like they used to!! Good value for the price!

It was a little difficult to assemble by myself, but I got there and it looks great. My son can hang from the end bracket, so it seems really sturdy so far.

    • BEWARE - Instructions are NOT acurate

I purchased all three sizes for different doors. I installed the 40x40 with no issues. It was small enough that I assembled unit and held it up to mark the drill hole locations. I next started with the 6 panel, 120" unit. Assembly was very difficult, per the instructions. Aluminum rails are not pre-drilled and very flimsy when driving in self-tapping screws. The aluminum just bends in and does not hold as supposed to. Now to the biggest issue - I pre-drilled the mounting holes exactly per the instructions (spacing at 91.5cm ((converted to 36.02")). I put the panels up to attach, and the holes were nowhere close to being correct. The correct distance should read 38". I contacted technical support that they submitted a support ticket. The response is in the middle of the night because the manufacturer is in China. After about 6 emails, back and forth with them asking for more information, they respond with the following: -------[vevor.com]------- Dear Customer, Thank you for your letter. We are sorry that our instructions need to be optimized. Could you please try drilling a few more holes to use this product? Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. If you have any questions please contact us again. This is not an acceptable response and I will be returning the units. Buyer beware. If you do buy it, put it together and measure yourself for the real size of the total unit and spacing for drilling. ... show more

I’m very sad when I opened the box. I noticed some pieces were twisted and bent. It’s never happened to me before but the box looks like someone run on the top of the box. It was hard to put it together because the pieces were not cooperating with us because of the Benting.

Directions for holes said 91.5 cc, (3 feet) Actually was closer to 38 inches. I had to do this myself since everyone I asked didn't show up. It's doable but you have to set it up and mount in sections. Not heavy just awkward. Hold the panels in the slots with paper tape, make sure the screws go into the panel. Make sure it is level or it will not hold together. Drilling in stone never drill into the mortar. Start with 3mm bit work up to 3/8, any lager and it will be a loose fit. Still have to tap the screws into the hole, before ratcheting in. Looks nice. and good value, Yes, I would do it again now that I have the knowledge. ... show more

My windows were always dirty looking from rain and the sun made the room so hot, it was unpleasant. This awning did the trick. My son installed it.
