I wasn't sure if I'd like looking at a strip of brown fabric on our fence but now, I love it! Provides the privacy from the prying neighbor eyes and I really like the look of it in our backyard. The color blends in well, the grommets hold it firmly in place, and overall, just a great product.

Works great on my deck. It’s a wooden deck so I bought small hooks to keep it in place. I noticed all the pics provided by people showed the view from looking inside out. Not the view from looking outside in. What’s the privacy from people looking in the direction you’re at? Basically, wherever the light is brighter is where you’ll be able to see through. I can see cars passing by while on my covered deck, but can’t see on my deck while standing in my yard. However, if I have lighting on my deck at night then it’s not going to be super private. Just a little private. People will see movement, but not details. The breeze flows through the fabric good, so while I have it up semi-tight there’s not a lot of pull on the fabric on a windy day. I’d recommend for a sitting area. It’s not going to give you the privacy comparable to a privacy fence for an entire yard though if you’re thinking of something like this for a chain-link fence. It fit the purpose I needed it for, and it arrived in good quality with plenty of zip-ties. 5 stars. ... show more

I read a lot of the 5, 4, and 3 star reviews on this product before purchasing it. As confessed, 100% satisfied. This privacy screen worked for me in so many ways and the rest is just an explanation. First, compared to fake foliage walls, hanging plant baskets, prayer flags, or any other kind of "privacy screening" options I also considered and priced out, this stuff is the best deal going. No maintenance or extended care. Per square foot of product, AMAZING!!!! And in my situation, complete coverage that none of those other options really fulfill. Second, This product is especially good if your "problem area" matches one of the colors they offer -- you are set. Dark brown matched my problem perfectly. For my problem area, I had about a 40' by 2.5' space that needed to be blocked from waist level up. Third, In less than 30 minutes working with a friend, I was able to transform a back yard deck that was highly-exposed to shiny reflective glints from moving cars and parked cars and foot traffic into a perfect oasis hangout space that was INSTANTLY invisible to the busy life going on right beyond the privacy screen. This is the kind of problem solver that makes me grateful throughout the day everyday -- 30 minutes and BANG, happiness. Fourth, in my situation, the privacy screen NOT ONLY blocks the deck from being viewed, but in blocking the deck it also ends up blocking my house windows from the same viewers. So now I can leave curtains open and get natural lighting all day long without being exposed to people walking by on the street when I'm inside. Double the privacy -- imaginary Bundled savings!! I love stuff like this because honestly, I understand why someone would be curious and stare at you on a back deck, but it was extra creepy when someone would stare at you from the street, across your deck and into your kitchen or living room. So now, not only is the deck "stare-free", but so is the interior living space! Fifth, on the plus side, FROM THE STREET the privacy screen (dark brown) isn't really noticeable -- it fits in neutrally and is modest and doesn't attract attention OR look ugly and out of place (personally, the color green of this product will always remind me of tennis courts and parks/gardening, but that's just me -- let's just say I was so relieved that there were other options). The dark brown blends in seamlessly in my situation, drawing no attention to itself. Currently, the sense of "privacy" on such a busy street is complete and the deck feels like a really nice indoor/outdoor living room. It is used/inhabited all the time now. Lastly, I've had the screen up for a couple of blissful months now and it is weathering well with winds and exposure. My guess is that it will probably always look this good and last for years. As I said at the beginning, I'm 100% satisfied and it is like ScrubMommy dish sponges for me -- a product that continually makes me glad I found an ideal solution to a basic problem. What is it called when you run across something you can't shut up about but aren't getting paid at all for celebrating? I feel that way about this privacy screen. The privacy screen cover for the fence is made of durable mesh tightly woven and the grommets in the right places to hold it securely to the fence. The fabric is thick enough to hold the grommets without popping off. I installed it myself. The brown cover is nice on the black fence and satisfactory blocks the view on the other side. However, it was two feet short of size requested. I plan to use slats or decorative screen with something like ivy attached to cover the void. ... show more

This is my third purchase of Royal Shade and I am well pleased with its privacy aspect as well as its durability and attractiveness. This purchase is to replace a section that was damaged by a determined neighborhood dog that attempted to climb the wooded fence the screen was attached to. Even torn, it did not shred, but the hole was big enough and in a section that was too large to repair. This will be used as a privacy and wind screen for a sun deck by our pool. One note, I do not use the zip ties provided. I installed with wood screws and washers on all the sections used to date for a more permanent and secure screen. I plan to do the same with this replacement but will use cabinet knob plates rather than large washers for a more attractive look. ... show more

I ordered this 6x16' Royal Shade windscreen to help diffuse the WY North high wind while I build my cats catio, and provide privacy from the street. It will be tested come winter, with the high North and South winds, but I think it will work well diffusing the wind and help with snow drift. My order arrived within the week and went up easily. I purchased steel zip ties because WY weather eats up plastic with it's dry high spring-summer winds, frigid winter temps and winds and almost 7000 ft elevation and sun. I also ordered a second larger windscreen for the east fence, so I could walk in in and out of the house without the neighbors little dogs spoiling the quiet with incessant barking and the owners yelling at them to stop which never happens, and is just as annoying! My second order went M.I.A in transit, but Royal Shade sent me a replacement when I reached out which arrived within the week. Great customer service. Nice heavy windscreen. ... show more
