Was looking for an EVSE to plug into my unused dryer outlet in order to charge my car faster than the level 1 “charger” that came with it. Since my car is a lease, I’m not trying to spend thousands of dollars on a faster charger for a car I don’t own. This unit fits the bill without breaking the bank. On my level 1, it took like 11 or 12 hours (give or take) to recoup the daily commute. With this level 2 charger at 16 amps, it’s about 3.5 hours, so roughly 3x faster. Some people may be able to get more amps on level 1 than I was getting. That would probably mean a more modest improvement than I am seeing. While the 30amp breaker can take 8 more amps than this charger will provide, i preferred not to have to use an adapter and the other EVSEs that plug directly into NEMA 10-30 will pull the full 24 amps, but they cost 3x as much as this unit. The app that this device connects to isn’t the best, but it gives solid info regarding what the charger is pulling and delivering. Because the car doesn’t report its charge state to the EVSE (which I think is a limitation of the j1772 standard) basically all apps on wifi connected EVSEs aren’t particularly useful. With this one, I used it like twice to check and make sure the device was pulling 16 amps. Since the app requires you to be on the 2.4ghz wifi to access it, and it requires you to initiate the charge from the app if you’re using it, I thereafter switched the unit to plug and play mode and haven’t used the app since. Overall, 5stars because it’s simple, it works, and it’s cheap. Of course, only time will tell how long it lasts

This company VEVOR makes high quality products. This charger charges my hybrid car faster than the charger that came with the car and at a lower electric cost. The charger works great. The cell phone app is just a basic on off. I don't use the cell phone app it's kind of featureless. When I plug in my charger, I don't need to turn it off and on with my cell phone. It starts charging when I plug in my car. It stops charging when the battery is full. So the app is useless. If the app had charging stats and power usage or other features it might be useful. The current app has no value for me. Still I good value and a good product.

I bought this because I found it in a review on a YouTube video. It was very well priced and I just needed something to charge my Lexus RZ with once a week at the comfort of my home and not at some random place in a parking lot. The product was easy to use and I've already used it 4 times without any issues.

Great charger for first time ev buyers. I got this one for my mother in law. She needed something faster than the level one 12 amp charger that came with her BMW i3. The unit was easy to set up. Instructions were clear. The app works easier with iPhone vs android for set up. I was able to set the desired amps straight from the unit (number of yellow flashes determines strength). The 28ft cord was needed since it was enough to reach from her nema 10-30 outlet to anywhere in driveway and even to the separate garage. The unit gets slightly warm when charging but never hot. Overall we are happy with this purchase. We may consider buying a second spare unit that allows for 24amps of charge in the future.

Been using it for 4+ months now. Have had no issues with it charging the car or any overheating problems. Using it on the dryer plug that has a split for it and the dryer. Have purposely avoided using both at the same time. Have left it plugged in the whole time. The software on it does kind of suck. Does an ok job at best tracking energy use. Could not get the software to remotely turn it on and off properly. Needed something that could charge a chevy bolt daily and not pull to many amps due to it being and old house and not wanting to trip the breaker. Charges a 66kw battery by 50% in about 8-9 hours. Dont need it to fully charge the car over night.

Purchased the 40 amp 14-50 plug EVSE with the NACS connector from vevor. So far the cheapest 40 amp EVSE I've bought new under $150. I’m anxious to see how it performs and how long it will last. There button to open the charge port works which is excellent because i use grizzle e classic with a Tesla adapter so this is new to me. Hoping this can match the reliability of the grizzle e. Only thing i noticed is that the temp monitor is reading higher than ambient and im worried it can’t charge for longer periods of time. The operating range max is at 122 F and this when plugged not charging is at 87-91. Depending on time of day. This is installed inside the garage and the temps added cooler now so we’ll see. I haven’t had the chance to charge for longer periods of time so if something happens i will update. So I’m giving a 5 star an initial review for ease of installation and value for price paid. This came with a bag and holder and wish it came with a holster like what competitors are offering. Item also arrived earlier than what was disclosed so i was happy. Works be better with a 2 day shipping at least.

I have a NEMA 10-30 plug in the storage room attached to my carport, but it is hooked to two 110v,15 amp breakers through wiring adequate for 15 amps, not 30 amps. So the electrician who I hired to inspect said I could get a 240 volt charger, but can't run it above 12 amps (80% of 15 amps). So I needed a charger that: 1) has a NEMA 10-30 connector, 2) is capable of running at below 15 amps, and 3) has a relatively long cord that I can route through the ceiling of the storage room into the celing of the carport, and then down to where it plugs into the car. This product met all those needs and was also quite inexpensive. I'm knocking off a star because the documentation is pretty poor. But I am now able to charge at more than double the speed that I previously was when I was plugging into a standard wall outlet (Level 1 charging). So overall I'm happy to find a product that maximizes the charging speed available without spending thousands to beef up the electrical infrastructure of my house.
