This item works as intended. It does exactly what it is advertised to do it is easy to set up and plugs into a 110 or a 220 volt outlet. It comes with both cords. I use it primarily on 110 V and it charges at a slow rate of 1.4 kW per hour and at 12 amps. It takes a long time to charge your car you get about 2 mph so if you leave it in overnight you wind up with 16 to 24 miles of range charging it on a 110 plug at 12 to 14 Amps. I use it primarily when I am at a place with no near by tesla or ccs charger. It helps top off the car while you sleep. For the price it is very good, does what it should and would work after on a 220 volt plug. The app is easy to use once you get it sorted through the App Store. The brain of the charger needs to have access to wifi to communicate with the app. The app shows you charge status, and gives you access to program a start time, end time, manually start or stop charging and shows you status. It has a long, seemingly very durable, relatively flexible cable (25 feet long plus 3 feet at the wall outlet). For the money it is an excellent item. I am using this to charge my 2021 Prius Prime. I works just fine, controlled with the phone app. I like that it works for both 120 volts when travelling or at 240 volts (an unused dryer outlet in the garage). I like that I can set the charging current below the max, which keeps everything cooler during charging of the very small Prius Prime battery. However the instructions are useless, (seemingly for other models) and I have no idea how to use it without wifi. The internal time delay in hours and the clock-based delay in the Prius can clash so that the charge doesn't happen. However, if I don't use the device's time delay and just turn on immediate charge, it will stay on and charge when the Prius decides that it is time to do so. However, if there is a power dip, it stays off. You can check on your phone to see if it is charging or has charged. ... show more

I purchased this as a secondary EV charger at my camp. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money for this since it would only be a secondary charge station. Admittedly I am pleasantly surprised. Worked right out of the box, no errors and the quality is OK. It’s very light weight, and I don’t it would last long exposed to the elements. The APP you use to control the settings is rubbish, but it gets the job done. The included instructions are terribly written in poor English, makes for a good laugh. Otherwise, I’m pleased with the Vevor charger. It works, doest get too hot, the cables seem decent. Good value for the money. Would I use this as my primary EVSE level 2 charger, No. But as a light secondary charger at my camp it fits the bill perfectly. ... show more

I like that it was no frills and seemed to just work... but after several months it produced an error and was completely unusable. Vevor was polite and reasonably responsive, took about a week of back and forth with overnight email responses to arrange the return. They had me ship it back to China and had a new one sent from the US. We needed a charger, so bought a different one in the meantime. Now I have a new Vevor charger for which I have no use. I told them I'd prefer my money back, or even a credit for other products. They aren't set up for that. I can't recommend it. This is the 32A portable one. ... show more

I bought this inexpensive device so I could use my 30 AMP dryer outlet to charge my VW ID.4. To install a dedicated 50 AMP circuit in my garage would have cost close to $2,000 (including the charging device). Ouch. Even with the tax credit, kind of pricey. I realize that a charger drawing 40 AMPs is going to charge faster than one drawing 24 AMPs, but I thought this would do the job. In fact, it exceeded my expectations. It was plug and play. In my first charging session I was adding 20 miles per hour, which is more than enough for my needs. What I wasn't expecting is that the display on the device shows charging session information. No fancy app or anything, but it tells you length of session and KWH consumption. In this case, 48 KWH and eight hours. It shut off, as it should, when it reached 90 percent. The car added an indicated 160 miles of range in that time. This is a simple, but effective device, and, obviously, inexpensive compared to what else is out there. After this successful test, I bought a 10-30 splitter so we don't have to unplug the dryer. ... show more

Got it to charge my Tesla Model Y (with adapter). It was the cheapest on Amazon and it works really well. My NEMA 14-50 isn't hooked to ground and you'll see a red LED on it but still charges my car. been using it for months and no issue.
