First I must say I bought this without reading the reviews. It came and I was eager to get it installed. I started assembly which if you follow the instructions was simple enough. I then went to mount my brackets after it was all done. Yikes I am missing a bracket. I had a friend at work build me one and then installed it. In the interim I had emailed the company about the missing bracket from my kit. They were very responsive and shipped one right out and I had it within a week. Popped of my homemade one and installed it. Looks great very functional and just exactly what we were looking for. We can set on the deck now in the afternoon and enjoy the weather, with out the sun beating on us. Getting ready to order another one for the hot tub deck too. Went together great no missing parts! It doesn’t comes with lag screws if you are putting it on siding or wood just masonary bolts. $3 in lag bolts later and no issues! I’m kind of worried about it being capable of handling 30mph winds, I had it up with 20mph wind gusts and decided to retract it but on calm sunny days it works flawlessly! My parents and neighbor now want me to install one for them! Definitely a 2 person job, but we got it done in about an hour. There is also a YouTube video of the install from the manufacturer that helps too! ... show more

First, item came with a missing mounting bracket. Contacted customer support, had a bracket shipped about a week and a half later. Installed the awning, and it worked/ looked great!..... for 1 day. A breeze came through and lifted the awning upwards onto my roof, shearing right through the thin aluminum arms. -Catastrophic failure. There are no angle supports to keep it in place, only the horizontal folding arms so there is nothing keeping it from lifting up. Contacted customer support again, and replied with sorry, the damaged parts are not covered under warranty?! (1 Day!!!) Fine, I'll return it to Amazon....oh, but I'll need to pay shipping to return the defective merchandise out of country? Forget it. Cut my losses, and find better quality product from a company that stands behind it. Shameful. ... show more

We noticed the fabric of the roof has had few holes in a few placed. Can you send us the new roof fabric piece because it looks defected. And it would be very inconvenience in case of rain or snow flakes. We already installed the equipment. Please, look close, you will see holes along the roof. They are small but they are holes.
