The media could not be loaded. It worked really well with the outlet that I already had in my garage, which is a standard connection for Level 2 charging. The 14-50 plug is another common connector. It is something that I am quite grateful for that I did not need any assistance from a professional in order to get it up and running. There is a great deal of adaptability provided by the 25-foot charging wire, which makes it simple to access my electric vehicle regardless of where it is parked in the driveway. For me, the length is about right—it is not too cumbersome to manage, but it is long enough to give me more choice when it comes to situating the vehicle. One of the features that I particularly like is the amperage level that can be adjusted. Having the ability to change the charging rate allows me to have more control over the load that is placed on the electrical system in my house, particularly during times when other high-power appliances are operating. I believe that this option proves to be beneficial, especially for those who want a greater degree of control over the rate at which they charge their car. Additionally, the time delay option is a good addition that enables me to take advantage of off-peak power prices by scheduling the charger to start at a later time. This allows me to save money for my electric bill. Not only do I believe that this helps me save some money in the long term, but I also find that it is handy for my day-to-day activities.

The Suberabit EV Portable Charger works as a Level 1 (110v, with an included NEMA 5-15 adapter) or Level 2 (240v, NEMA 14-50R) charger. I use it to mainly charge our plug-in hybrid cars (J1772 charge ports) and occasionally charge my fully EV car. It is easy to select the amperage (13A to 32A) and the time delay (1-12 hours). The digital display makes it easy to see Amps, Time, temperature, KW, KWH. The charger comes with a storage bag for easy storage and portability. It seems to be solidly built and hopefully last for many years. So far this charger has worked flawlessly as a daily charger for our plug-in hybrid cars. The slightly higher than other similar chargers, but currently had a $40 off coupon at the time of this review.

The media could not be loaded. I am now using this as my main charger and it's working out perfectly for me. My previous charger only had a 20 foot cord which doesn't seem like a huge difference, but actually that was the make-or-break difference in being able to reach my car's charging port still if I wanted to park outside of my garage door during other projects and things I sometimes have going on in the garage. The adjustable amperage is a must-have feature of any charger, and I have mine turned down as I am only running on a 30 amp circuit and I really don't need full 32 amps to easily recharge overnight. 12 or 16 amps is usually plenty for me and leaves me more headroom for all the other power-hungry appliances on my home's 100 amp service, but it's nice to have the option to go to higher amperage on those rare occasions that I am in more of a hurry. The cord is not just a nice length but also very soft and flexible which is appreciated. Even in the cold of winter here the cord is still flexible and not cracking so far. It's nice that they give you extra accessories that I have not received with other chargers, such as the cord hanger and dock for the J1772. They also include some velcro straps for cord organization and a travel bag. All in all I am happy with it and it's holding up well to daily use so far. It seems like a good value and I'd be able to recommend it to others.

I would suggest avoiding this product if you're planning on doing anything with renewables and inverters. I wanted to step up my charging game from my Tera 16A charger to this 32A charger and it killed one of my inverters. It started charging fine and then I heard a snap and a flash. Turned everything off and disconnected everything. After restoring power to my whole home inverter it would not power any loads anymore.

Really solid portable EV charger relative to the value price point. My wife and I both own EVs and as a result we need plenty of chargers. I set up a charging station at home, at my office and at her office but obviously you want to have a portable charger in the trunk 'just in case'. This is my first experience with the Suberabit brand but so far so good. Even at a very reasonable price point, this unit is definitely a step above most portable chargers. For what it is, the performance of this charger is excellent. It's nothing fancy, but it does offer everything you need in terms of features. Obviously, you've got all of the built in protections that you find in any EV charger from a reputable manufacturer. That includes overheating protection, over voltage protection, under voltage protection, short circuit protection, etc. It has a waterproof rating of IP65 which should be adequate for just about any kind of weather. It's able to operate within a wide range of temperature extremes--such a wide range of extremes that you might not ever have to worry about it. It'll operate from -22F/-30C to +130/54C. It has auto shut off and the charger plug has a nice long handle which makes it easier (and safer) to work with. Finally, you've got a 25 foot extension cord and that's something you don't find even on much more expensive chargers. If your needs are fairly basic you might be able to use this as a primary charger. For me, I want a more robust charger for my primary unit but this is an excellent choice as a portable charging device. Highly recommended!

Great Level 2 charger for all types of cars other than a tesla. Great value for money and easy plug and play no need to go through 20 steps for charger. Comparable to all the level 1 chargers in the market that can be charged from a normal plug point.

I can't speak to the long term durability of this charger, but I can say that the thermals and charging rates are in line with the OEM charger I have. I think you will be able to use this everyday or stick in the truck and use it on occasion.
