This seller is updating their list and wording of their capabilities of use so if you don’t see your vehicle approved listed, do not purchase this. Even KIA was not there on their unapproved list when I bought mine or I would have been skeptical since I own Hyundai….I see they’ve added vehicles that do not work and wasn’t updated when I bought this so hopefully they will add my car to list. I was really excited to try this at Tesla supercharger station. Too bad.

I have a Volvo C40 and was thrilled when I heard that the Tesla Supercharger network was opening to Volvos. Although I ordered the official Volvo adapter, there was a long wait and I was excited when I saw this adapter become available. I was a bit wary at first of a third-party adapter, especially after reading reviews of other brands which often had difficulty connecting and disconnecting from the Tesla charger. However, these concerns went away when I received the Ruichi adapter. It was well protected in the packaging and had a very high-quality feel to it. The real test was putting it to use on a somewhat cold day (temps in the 30's). I used the Tesla app to find an open charger and thankfully the Volvo charge port is in the same location as a Tesla because I could not back up too close to the charger due to the piles of snow. As a result the short Tesla charge cable was stretched to the max and pulled a bit on the adapter when I plugged in. A real worst-case use scenario! Initially I got an error, but after plugging it all in again and reinitiating the charge with the Tesla app, it began to charge at a reasonable 90KW rate (given the cold battery, 32% SOC, and max rate for the car at 150KW). Disconnecting it all when done was very easy. None of the difficulties I've heard from other adapter reviews. I definitely feel that I can trust this product for use on a road trip. This can be a game changer for routes with limited charge options. I'd recommend it, especially with the lower cost than OEM adapters. I eventually received my OEM Volvo adapter and have to say that the overall build quality of the Ruichi adapter seems better than the OEM version. Other reviews have noted a lack of certification markings on the Ruichi, but the same is true of the OEM version, so I wouldn't be concerned.
