This gate solved a huge problem for me. I have to separate a cat into a large bedroom. The room always gets very hot in the summer when the door is closed. At first I was worried that it wouldn't fit my 30 inch door opening but the latches work even with the overlap. Now the air flow makes the room comfortable and the other cats get to see her and she them. Sometimes the feet move a bit and have to be pushed back into alignment but that is not too bothersome. I do agree that the directions were not clear but the assembly is easy to figure out without them. My cats do not even try to open or climb the gate so this is a perfect solution. I would not recommend this for kittens as they may get their heads stuck between the slats.

The measurements provided in the product description were accurate, and made the installation quite easy, as was the assembly. So far they are a good solution to keeping 2 nine month old, very energetic and nimble explorers, of the notorious Orange Tabby variety out of a basement room being used as an office! So far, so good!! Worth the money!

So this product would be nice if it was made better, I installed it & one door seems ok but the other door closes on its own & if you try to open it the whole leg at the bottom moves and then the whole thing comes loose and falls out of place . Unfortunately I couldnt send for a replacement because it seems this product is now unavailable. I cant return it either because I need to keep something there to keep the cats off the new couch. So I will have to go to Lowe’s & fix this gate myself. The sad thing is you spend so much money and yet you have to spend more money just to fix a product that should have been already working properly.

Easy to setup. Keeps cats out of hallway. Only complaint is they can slip a bit and may need to be reset.

I do animal rescue and have 50 cats. (My County’s remedy for Ferrel cats was euthenization). So far 90% have been socialized. And this aids in keeping them out of a room when cleaning

Wasn't too hard to install. Worked great. Allowed us to open the front door and let in the breeze and keep our cats and dog inside. Sadly, we soon found our small 8 lb male cat is a Juggernaut and somehow managed to push the gate up enough to slip under. Strong little cuss!! Even after my husband adjusted the tension our male cate figured out how to get past it. I think we will look for a heavier metal gate that doesn't open from the center. That was the weak spot our cat took advantage of. If your fur babies aren't as persistent as mine, this is still a good barrier.
