Using this for my indoor cats ( 2 ) to sleep in at night. Before anyone tries to judge NO they do not stay in there all day long! Fits the litter box I have very well. I like that it's customizable although they will provide the standard way to build it. Be sure to build this in the room/area that you want to keep it in! Made the rookie mistake of thinking it can fit through a normal size door. How to dissemble and reassemble. This thing takes quite a while to build. In my opinion everything is sturdy besides the hallow just square lining piece. Had it break on me a couple of them. Still able to build though! Just reenforcement is a little lacking in some areas.

Bought this for my Maine Coon that likes to play with my bread while I’m away. I’ve had enough when he ate my stroganoff. Platforms are flimsy. He’s a big cat, so reinforce with ALOT of zip ties. It’s taking over my small living room. And make sure you put it together right the first time or you’ll have to get inside it to fix it. I just make my teenager do it. He’s a good reference on how big it is.

What’s nice about this design, is you can put the panels together to fit a specific space if you measure your desired location and check the size of the panels before you buy. For example, I set-up the catio on my deck outside and was able to align a cat door with either an open panel or one of the doors provided in the kit so that my cat can go in and out of the catio on her own from inside of our house. The shelves for the cat to sit on are not as sturdy as they could be, I have a 12 pound cat and she’s okay on them, but it does shake the unit when she jumps. It is a little tedious to snap all the pieces together and then add all of the zip ties, but for the price and versatility, it was worth doing. It can also be fairly easily taken apart and moved or reconfigured (you would have to cut all the zip ties, though, first). It fit my space and works for my cat.

It took a while to figure out how to assemble the cage, but not too bad. It looks nice and has plenty of room for 2 kittens to play. The doors can be arranged in different ways so the cats can get in and out easily. We use small zip ties to secure the frames at all corners of the cage to make it sturdy.

I had hoped something in this price range would be a little more sturdy. Assembly wasn't too difficult at first, but the taller it gets, the more it wants to slide apart. I have absolutely covered it in zip ties, but the structure itself isn't intuitively designed. The caps that hold things together are prone to popping off or making the layer above that slide around, and the metal panels were sliding out of the links while I built until I got more zip ties and went wild with them. I got it because I needed to separate unfixed cats between appointments for spaying/neutering (to keep males/females separate) and just by existing in the thing, they end up knocking down the bottom platform sometimes. It makes me worry the structural integrity may end up being thrown off. It's a bit disheartening. It's done the job, though, and hasn't collapsed and made kitty pancakes of my cats, so I can't say it's completely useless. I just wish it had been a bit better quality, and perhaps a little easier to work with in general.

Both my kittens have gotten their heads stuck in the bars today—we had to cut through the bars to free the bigger of the two kittens. This product should never be used for kittens. Originally, I bought it to house my toxic plants, away from my adult cats—that worked great. But, since rescuing two stray kittens, the plants have been evicted from the house and we were using the cage to keep the kittens safe when we’re not in the room. We’re lucky no one died. Quality-wise, this thing is awful to put together and even worse to take apart. The locks don’t work well, and an adult stray we trapped to neuter, was able to lean on the door and it popped open, and he escaped back into the wild. I also can’t imagine housing one adult cat, let alone multiple adult cats in this thing—it’s too small, in my opinion.

Very cool idea 💡 and it was easy to put together but the zip ties are they necessary! 150 zip ties to install after connecting all the pieces a-little overkill I think but success for keeping the kitten and older cat separate until they get used to each other! Easy to clean and stable enough to move it anywhere in your house every outside!

I purchased this when I started fostering kittens, as the feral cat population in my area is a tad out of control. I set it up on my screened in patio in preparation of another batch but they relocated and it sat unused. Until I opened one of the doors. Now 3 of my 4 cats go in and out, chilling on the shelves. I did not use all of the pieces, and never used the zip ties it came with, but it's standing strong. The shelves support a nearly 14 pound cat with no issue. I love it. Considering getting a second for the feral cats with maybe a tarp to keep dry.
