I measured these and can make them fit in cages of other brands. The problem with pet cages are the shelves are always flimsy and are not pet-safe. By adding these to the top of the shelves it makes them sturdy. They also made my shelves wider so a cat would have more room. Don't worry if it sticks out more to the inside of your cage. That's a good thing. Just make sure the cage is wide enough for the hooks to attach to the sides of the cage. To was able them attach them to the original wire shelf and side of the cage with zip ties. Put these shelves on top of your existing wire shelf. If you do it this way your shelves won't move at all. A 13-pound cat will easily be able to sit on this shelf without it bending or breaking. That's if you use zip ties. The second picture I added is me trying to lift the shelf showing you the old wire shelf underneath. It's on the tight so it was hard to show you. The Midwest shelf is almost 2 inches wider toward the inside of the cage than the old wire shelf. ... show more

I wanted a crate that had a few levels for my 5 cats, the crate was from Wayfair the crate came with 2 sturdy panels and 2 little cots, the cots are ok but not to comfy for bigger cats, so added 2 universal panels and fit perfectly... Now all my fur babies all fit together when it’s bed time lol... I highly recommend this product definitely worth buying... Perfect for all of us Crazy Cat Ladies❤️ ... show more

    • Need zip ties to stabilize the shelves

The shelves would have been great had the hooks been on opposite sides to help stabilize the whole shelf. We used zip ties and all is well and stable. Would not trust the shelves without the ties from flipping over and being unstable for the kittens we foster. Ultimately they work for our needs. Would I buy again? Yes. As long as I have zip ties ... show more

I LOVE this Condo for my First Kitten now another one has found our home. So guess what another purchase. The only issue is I forgot how to attach the wheels. ;( My bad. So it was not the size it was listed It is supposed to be 23.3 in long but when i measured it and it turned out to be barely 22 inches. So i am unable to hook it up properly. I used some heavy duty zip-ties and angled it so it was more secure. The shelf itself looks as described and is sturdy just a bit sad about the false length ... show more

I needed another shelf for my kitten to jump on while in her safety zone (amazon basics cat condo). This one fit! The plastic part of shelf is a bit thin so don't leave it in the sun to dry or it'll probably warp. Otherwise it's easy to clean and kitten loves the extra play space
