These don't require any installation onto walls or door frames, which I was looking for. They do keep our toddlers out (unless they really try) and let our cats in. However, we have the straight, lever-type door handles and they fly off the handle when you disengage it every time. If you want it for doors you use frequently and have the same doorknobs, I do not at all recommend. ... show more

I got this cuz both our cats usually sleep in bed with us, one likes to join later in the night and if we crack the door she kept jumping up and pushing it completely open (eye roll). If we tried shutting both in our other one "the baby" would claw at the door or towels hanging off the back (multiple towels damaged) until we opened either or water or breakfast so I decided to try this and so far it's worked great, I still get yelled at for breakfast, literally she's part siamese, but my towels are safe and my door isn't moved from where I want it. The media could not be loaded. So simple and easy to use! We’re introducing our dogs and cats for the first time and these are perfect for giving the cats a way to access their safe space away from the dogs, and keep the dogs away from their litter box and food. I do wish they were a just little longer because this particular door frame is extra wide (originally an exterior door) making it a little narrow for our Maine coon. Nevertheless there is still enough room for the kitties to get by. Our dogs are extremely well behaved and haven't event attempted to get in so I’m not sure how good these would work if your dog is persistent about getting in. ... show more
