This awning arrived without assembly instructions. I contacted them through Amazon, and they responded within 24hrs with a pdf and an apology. Nice. They suggest 2 people to install it, but I had no trouble doing it by myself. A second person would have definitely sped up the process, and I recommend it if possible. Many years ago I installed an18ft motorized Sunsetter awning, again by myself, definitely tricky, and I will say, Sunsetter could learn a thing or two from these folks. Little things that impressed me of the quality of this unit. My only concern is how long the vinyl fabric will last, and hoping replacements will be available when necessary, unlike Sunsetter who no longer supporrs my 18ft awning, even though it remains mechanically sound. Sad! Fingers crossed!

The shade and hardware are very nice and shade works great. As most other users have said, instructions suck and are basically worthless after page 7! The posts, part U and V (plastic pipe nipple about 2" long) on page 3, need to be installed in the begining or you'll have to take it apart (Part C2) later to put these in. Instructions Page 7, item 6, is very vague on this step. Photo 3 below. My shade was installed at 103" tall, and when fully opened at 9'8" was 85" tall. There is some adjustment for height on this but again, instructions not clear and there doesnt seem to be much info on this! There is some info on page 13 of the instructions about mounting height, but if I followed the formula as per instructions I calculated I would need to install this at 131" tall to have an 84" height when opened. Installing it at 131" was not an option and I would not be able to reach the bottom of the wand to open and close! Had no choice but to lower it. On page 11, when you slide the arm bar links in and mount screws, leave them lose. The instructions tell you to leave about a 1/2" of space in between which makes no sense. The arm bar links have to be attached to arm bars before getting arm bar cloth bands. After attching arm bars to links, and cutting bands, mount the arm bars in 8" from the end and tighten. Photo 5 below. Very important! Once installed, and you open shade, dont panic if the end is not level. Turning the jack bolt, on page 17, on each end of the shade with raise or lower the front bar to level. Photo 7 below. Hope some of this may help some others!

I purchased the awning May, 2024. I did not have a chance to install it last year. I took out of the box, assembled, and installed it 3 weeks ago. Used twice and one of the bolt broke and no awning anymore. Thanks God nobody got hurts. I contacted the seller if they point me where I should find parts for replacement and they talked about warranty. The part I am looking to replace is the Arm-bar Link. Which is for the arm that retract. Please be careful buying from this seller. They are not willing to work with you to solve the issue.
