This was my first time using an electric grill and wasn't sure what to expect but the food turned out great according to my guests. I did not use the internal thermometer because I cooked a number of different meats plus fish and veggies. Set it to 450 and it worked great - similar to using a gas grill but without the hassle of propane. The food cooked up quickly and clean up was a breeze. Easy removal of grease tray and drawer got it clean in a few seconds with Dawn soap and water. Here's a few tips: Brush a high temp neutral oil on the grates to prevent sticking Get a 1875 Watt extension cord because this unit is rated at 1700 watts A cart is absolutely necessary - roll it, don't lift it bruh - there's no handles for carrying Space is limited on the warmer rack but it was perfect for cooking fish filets and veggies while thicker items grilled below. Get the cover, it's worth the extra expense - it fits well and keeps the grill dry. Personally, I prefer charcoal and wood for smoking but if you're looking for quick and painless without starting a fire in the middle of the hot summer, this is perfect. ... show more

The biggest mistake I've ever done!!! Whatever they say about this unit is a big fat lie. The temperature is NEVER stable no mater what you need. They promote this unit can get up to 570 F. Not once it got to that temp (barley 500), yet whenever you open the lid you're down to 300F and need to wait till it gets to at least 450 additional 20+ minutes. You need low 250F, it will jump to 305 and back, never stays stable. Did ribs on low, burned them, like I never did ribs in my life. Why? The grill is too low, put it on the higher one? Too high. Cleaning, absolute nightmare, you need to take it to the sink, and wash it like a pan, got forbit if you have a small sink. In short, I want my money back, this garbage is not worth of $150 for all the hassle. I warn everyone, DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT!!! I was held already twice, not to throw the junk down the balcony and the neighborhood had lot to listen. Turbo E XL, you are scam. ... show more

I like the way it rapidly cooks if you let Preheat to 500. It is really a challenge to clean. I cook on salt tablets and have for years, and they work Well, with the electric heat once warmed up. Looks good and gets hot but once you open it to put steak or meat on it then doesn’t get back up to temperature and is not hot enough to cook the food - would not Recommend this product. Would make a decent boat anchor.
