This thing is a beast! I got the new Traeger Woodridge Elite just days after it was available and it’s a fantastic upgrade from my previous smoker. The Elite adds nice enhancements such as an insulated body, side burner, and enclosed storage area. I was a bit weary of the extra cost but so far it seems totally worth it and the build quality seems really high. Assembly took me about 1.5 hours alone and the instructions make it super clear and easy to follow. Parts are well marked and the videos show you step by step to supplement the pictures. Overall I’m quite pleased with how it cooks/maintains temp for long smokes and the WiFi and app make it a breeze especially with how it monitors your pellet hopper so it doesn’t run out. Why did you pick this product vs others?: After researching many grills/smokers we decided on this Traeger. It's an AWESOME grill and value for the money. If you're looking for a grill that's easy to use/control from your phone, this is the one for you. Making/smoking food becomes a no brainer. Bonus is that the Traeger community is large and a great resource for recipes, accessories, etc. Also want to add that we had installation with this purchase and the guys were knowledgeable, professional and totally worth it if you don't want to try putting this together yourself. ... show more

    • Traeger puts Grilling and Smoking on Autopilot
I have been using the Traeger Woodridge Elite for two weeks and just love it. I am still learning, since transitioning from a traditional gas grill. Everything is exceptionally high quality and well made. The packaging it came in was amazing and everything was intact with no damage. The assembly instructions were good, though sometimes I had difficulty identifying parts. The associated videos on you tube helped with the assembly, and part identification. I like the Traeger app and connectivity of the grill to my iPhone. I’m looking forward to trying new recipes. I only wish I could print the recipes from the app to make preparations easier. All in all, I’d give this grill a 10, as 5 stars just isn’t enough. ... show more

    • Problems from the start
Pretty immediate issues with this unit. It needed a new power cord, probe, and eventually controller all within 6 weeks of getting it delivered. Now, traeger customer service are great. They get issues handled quickly, and are always nice. The issue is the product. I love bbq and grilling, and have multiple smokers/pellet grills. This is the only time I’ve experienced this many issues, this quickly. At this price point, you’d do better getting a rec-teq or pit boss and saving some money. ... show more

    • Get the Elite with the side burner
Excellent smoker grill. Get the Elite for the side burner. I wasn't happy with the reverse sear method on the grill. After smoking the meat, I recommend transferring it to a cast iron skillet on the side burner to sear. I got it up to 750 degrees on the skillet. The Elite also has a double metal liner on the cover for better insulation as compared to the non-Elite models. ... show more

This is my family’s 3rd pellet grill and we will NEVER buy anything but Traeger from now on! The grill is super easy to use. The tech is awesome for us nerds. The temperatures are very concise. Love this grill!! But take some advice and pay someone to put the monster together, definitely takes 2.

    • Easy to use and great flavor!
I love this grill. It is easy to operate. Just set your temperature and put probes into your meat and the app alerts you when you reach desired temperature! The app also lets you know when the pellets are getting low. The delivery and assembly was great and they even hauled off my old grill. I would definitely recommend this grill for anyone who doesn’t want to “babysit” the grill. ... show more
