If you have had a Traeger or smokers in general before, this one is great. Took me a couple of hours to put together by myself, and had a little help at a couple of spots, but nothing major. The temp control is good, with little deviation. And the app makes it super easy to control. If you are new to smoking, this product is great, as it does 99% of the work for you. And takes overthinking out of it. With the burner on the side, the unit is rather big, but measure beforehand so it works in your space. Also, hooking up the wifi feature is a bit of a hassle, as you have to have a 2.4Ghz wifi channel as it doesn't like the 5.0Ghz. The bottom is helpful too. ... show more

Let's start with my neighbor, last night, said I hear you firing up this thing 4-5 times a week. TRUE. I have had it for two months and I use it all the time. Smoking ribs, grilling burgers, slow cooking steaks for a reverse sear, cooking chili, warming up bread. Endless things I can do with this machine. It is beautiful, sturdy and all of the cool features work great. Temp probe is great along with the Traeger App. Super Smoke does a fantastic job to boost that hardwood flavor in anything you want. Traeger also makes "charcoal" pellets that taste like I fired up my Weber Kettle! That is awesome for burgers and steaks. While I have not used the side burner, I look forward to doing that. Well, it's time to put on a large pork butt I bought today and smoke that baby for 18 hours. Have already made this a couple times and pulled pork sandies and carnitas tacos are AWESOME! Delivery was great as the unit's boxes were on a pallet and they moved it to my backyard at my request. So many functions I need to explore and types of wood for different smokes. The quality of this grill and the heavy duty cover will make this thing last for many, many years!! ... show more

Why did you pick this product vs others?: After researching many grills/smokers we decided on this Traeger. It's an AWESOME grill and value for the money. If you're looking for a grill that's easy to use/control from your phone, this is the one for you. Making/smoking food becomes a no brainer. Bonus is that the Traeger community is large and a great resource for recipes, accessories, etc. Also want to add that we had installation with this purchase and the guys were knowledgeable, professional and totally worth it if you don't want to try putting this together yourself. ... show more

This thing is a beast! I got the new Traeger Woodridge Elite just days after it was available and it’s a fantastic upgrade from my previous smoker. The Elite adds nice enhancements such as an insulated body, side burner, and enclosed storage area. I was a bit weary of the extra cost but so far it seems totally worth it and the build quality seems really high. Assembly took me about 1.5 hours alone and the instructions make it super clear and easy to follow. Parts are well marked and the videos show you step by step to supplement the pictures. Overall I’m quite pleased with how it cooks/maintains temp for long smokes and the WiFi and app make it a breeze especially with how it monitors your pellet hopper so it doesn’t run out. I have been using the Traeger Woodridge Elite for two weeks and just love it. I am still learning, since transitioning from a traditional gas grill. Everything is exceptionally high quality and well made. The packaging it came in was amazing and everything was intact with no damage. The assembly instructions were good, though sometimes I had difficulty identifying parts. The associated videos on you tube helped with the assembly, and part identification. I like the Traeger app and connectivity of the grill to my iPhone. I’m looking forward to trying new recipes. I only wish I could print the recipes from the app to make preparations easier. All in all, I’d give this grill a 10, as 5 stars just isn’t enough. ... show more

Such a let down of a grill. Absolutely disappointed with this purchase. Temperature is very unstable and I’ve only used this grill maybe a handful of times. Every cook we try to do our sides get cold because the stupid grill keeps losing its set temperature. To the point where we have to do a hard reset by unplugging and plugging it back in. Then waiting for it to start firing up again. Never buying anything from Traeger again. Spent almost $2,000 with accessories and it’s the biggest waste of money I’ve ever spent. ... show more
