I have multiple flickering flame solar lights, including lanterns such as these. I received my first set a few weeks ago, and this is what I have found to be true, so far. These particular lanterns seem to be made of a sturdy plastic, so you do not have to worry about rust from metal. They come with an easy to assemble hanger with clip, if you should desire to use clip. If so desired. They are very bright and realistic looking. Once fully charged, they have operated from dusk until dawn. I have gotten up just before sunrise, and they are still lit. This particular brand is taller than the standard size of other brands I have purchased in the past. The larger size allows for more light, and a better display. My other lanterns have lasted me as long as 5 years, however, I do not know how many years this particular brand will last since I just purchased them this year. I will update my review with longer use. The only downfall to most of these flickering flame torch and lanterns is, that most of them you cannot replace the solar battery should it fail. So far, I like this product and think it would make a nice gift for anyone who has an outdoor deck, or garden to place them in. ... show more

I bought these lanterns to hang on my mailbox. I really only needed one, but it came with two, at a decent price. It comes on at dusk and when I leave for work at 6:00am it’s still lit. I love that it flickers and looks like a real lantern. The fact that it’s solar powered is a huge plus. I live in Florida so it gets extremely hot here and we get some pretty severe thunderstorms and so far it has held up. I’ve only had it for about 2 months so I’m not sure about long-term but as of right now, I am extremely happy with it. ... show more

These lights are so pretty and have worked perfectly. They really do look real. They put off just enough light to get around on my deck. I would really miss them now that I've gotten so used to have them come on each evening. They have a small handle that you could hang them. This is a good buy!!

Lovely light that have a charming flicker just like a fire lantern. Easy to operate. The only point of concern is that following a couple of very cloudy days, they did not illuminate ....or, did not make it very long into the night before they went out. I am sure they need to get a lengthy charge placed in the sunlight, but one week into owning them, mother nature elected to cover the sun with clouds. Then...no beautiful flickering lights. Prior to this, I was using a different manufacturer that provided a lantern lamp with a recharging battery inside it, but the light wiuld typically run out before dawn. These outdoor lamps are not only better looking But overall, simply very well-made. Right out of the box and placed outside they each lasted all night even without a fresh solar charge.
