Finally I can compete with the rest of my neighbors for most beautiful decoratively home competition that exists in my neighborhood subdivision and more so in my head. So first: in case you were wondering: NO they really meant you can’t add additional segments, no matter how creative you try to be. Get it through your head and don’t do it b The light quality is enough to make your equally decoration obsessed ancestors proud and the neighbors envy you. The rgb color and lumen capacity are absolutely incredible. They are simply stunning, have really seamless integration between channels of lights and come with enough lights to make any home bright. They are functional for all holidays, but especially the ones that matter: Christmas and any others for your friendly neighborly outdoor lighting competitions. The length of the connection cables were not my favorite. I would’ve preferred 16ft cables to travel on more awkward places on my roof and provide more slack for my install. But for a 37 year old mom and wife who doesn’t exercise with much regularity—this is as seamless as you can get, and I can’t wait to brag to my doctor that I did this by myself, before she gets a chance to remind me of my bmi. The lights have waterproof caps for ends of connections and at all connection points. Govee is expensive. I know. But it’s the best. Just think of all admiration you’ll get for your beautiful uplift home! Buy them!!

I recently wrote a bad review but it was a user error instead of hardware. I truly apologize! The lights were turning off randomly. I checked any app animation that could cause this and didn't see anything. After receiving the replacement, the new lights stayed on but the old lights would still randomly turn off. After removing the lights from Alexa's devices, I noticed they didn't turn off. I found out that Alexa hunches was the problem. I am starting to hate Alexa. For some reason the developers thought it was a good idea to automatically turn off lights if Alexa thought you wasn't home. No notification at all. I never enabled this feature. I will be moving away from Alexa soon.
