I purchased both the orange and purple light strings for my porch decoration project. I was very impressed with these lights! The string is long so you don't have to do a lot of joining of strings. They are bright and pretty. You really can't do them justice in a photo, but you can see they are bright enough to cast a hue over my porch. I got so many compliments on these lights. They work, they are beautiful and very reasonably priced! I'm so happy that I just ordered the same brand Christmas lights. Thank you for making an excellent product! TIP TO KEEP THEM FROM TANGLING Find both ends and grasp firmly, one in each hand. Gently pull them apart and you will find that one uncoils more easily. If you do this aggressively, they will tighten up and tangle. Holding both ends, gently flop the middle bundle free. Of course, be careful not to break the bulbs on the ground. One end will uncoil more easily than the other. Free the section that easily uncoils, careful not to tangle them back together, and you shouldn't have any problems. ... show more

I started with the plug end and held the other end in my hand. They didn't tangle at all. The black box is not waterproof. I cut one corner of a ziploc bag and placed the box inside it. Try your best to keep it out of the water. Take your time. This is my 2nd time purchasing these lights and they are amazing. 3 years later, all the strands still work. ... show more

PROS** - Bright lights - Easy to drape on tree - Many different options for light modes (fade in, inking, twinkling, constant etc) **CONS - Wish it came with a remote to go through the different light modes. The button to switch through is at the top of the box of the plug in.
