Will update later if they present problems. I've had color changing lights for 15 yrs, usually the ones with thicker cords and bulbs on T base and they usually last a 2 to 3 yrs. These are on thinner cords but were pretty easy to put up since I already had the hooks in place. The big difference is the bulbs, rather than having a diffused color, these radiate color from the filament (?) It's a cool change from the others and the colors are more neon yet not as bright as neon. The only neg is at least 3 buttons on the color menu come up with the same purple but otherwise Im happy with them. UPDATE...seems we have red squirrels and yup, they loved the wire coverings. Spliced em back and put them up in the house (where they look great). Bought some with the thick, less tasty cords...fingers crossed. ... show more

Smaller bulbs, spread out about 18 inches or so (I didn't measure). Nice color on the lighting. Not too bright, but casts a nice atmosphere. Doesn't have that much of a lead from the plug, so you may need an extension cord on the first segment. You can string multiple strings together which is nice.
