Disclaimer: This is one of those, "I just got it, and it works great!" reviews. That said... I must admit, I was somewhat hesitant to purchase due to a number of negative reviews, saying things like, "It won't set to the correct time.", "It doesn't keep accurate time.", "It worked for a week, then quit.", etc. The clock looks very nice, is large (14" diameter) and easy-to-read from quite a distance. It comes completely assembled (except for one AA battery - included) and a single sheet of instructions (read and follow the instructions!). I found it stupid-simple to set up: set your Time Zone (I live in the Dallas (TX) area - Central Time Zone). ) and whether or not Daylight Saving Time is currently in effect. Then press the Reset button for a few seconds (causing the clock to initialize itself to 12:00:00), Then you carefully place the clock in its desired location and leave it alone. For the first 4 hours or so, the clock was completely "off". But after that, it apparently locked onto the WWV radio signal (the so-called "atomic" time-keeping feature) and set itself to the correct time. Thereafter, the clock appears to keep very accurate time (it re-syncs itself about once an hour, I think). I have the clock in my garage and as far as I can tell, it's quiet. It has a seconds sweep hand, and if it makes a "ticking" sound, I can't hear it (some folks dislike clocks that make an audible "ticking" sound). All in all, I'm very happy with this purchase and can definitely recommend it. I encountered none of the issues reported by some customers. Since it works fine, I can't comment on their Customer Service. Now, as for durability and longevity, time will tell (no pun intended). I'm very happy with the fact that this clock sets itself, syncs itself to the WWV broadcast, keeps accurate time, and automatically compensates for the changeover to/from Daylight Saving Time (woohoo - that's one less clock to set!). ... show more

As of the writing of this review, I have purchased three of The Ultimate Wall Clock atomic clocks. Although the first clock was slow to get in sync and receive the near daily signal, once activated, it worked well. This prompted me to purchase a second of The Ultimate Wall Clock atomic clocks as these clocks are easy to read and keep time well. When the second clock failed to sync and failed to received the signal, I contacted the maker of the clock. The maker of the clock was kind and responsive to the problem, sending out a replacement which worked great and, as might imagine, prompted me to buy the third clock that I needed. I recently purchased The Ultimate Wall Clock - 14" Atomic from Amazon and I am extremely happy with my purchase. This clock is truly the ultimate timepiece for any home or office. First of all, the clock is incredibly accurate thanks to its atomic timekeeping technology. It automatically sets itself to the correct time and adjusts for daylight saving time, so I never have to worry about manually changing the time or dealing with inaccuracies. The clock is also very easy to set up and use. It has a large, clear display that is easy to read from a distance, and the buttons on the back of the clock make it simple to adjust the settings and customize the display to my liking.     • FAILURE to perform its primary function - keeping time

I have 2 of these. I wanted an atomic clock to mount outside high on a west-facing gable wall where it could easily receive the radio signal from Colorado, and where it could easily be seen when working outdoors in my garden. The hands fell off the first one and it was replaced under warranty. The second one, the supposedly new design warranty replacement, was hanging on my basement wall all winter where it kept perfect time. When I hung it outside in the Spring, it went crazy and refused to keep time. Then the second hand fell off! If it was just a regular non-atomic clock, I could forgive the time wandering off by a minute or so over a period of weeks or months, but this ATOMIC clock should correct any similar small error on a daily basis via the radio signal. In fact, it should correct ANY error, small or large. That was my sole reason for purchasing an ATOMIC clock. but it is FAR from a small error in time, and it is never correct. I am very disappointed that I spent almost $40.00 on something that just frustrates me and totally fails to keep anywhere close to the correct time. Four stars because the clock fell off the wall 2 days after hanging it up with the enclosed hook. The clock works great, it automatically set the time within the 24 hours as stated. Just don't use the hook!

This clock lasted less than a year. We had it outdoor on a covered patio so it wasn't exposed to direct sun or any rain. Yet it lasted maybe six months.
