Lasted 10 months. Which is okay, but it started showing rust. We avoided the dishwasher even, it just came through anyway. Aside from that, it is a great tool. It didn’t strip. It always worked. I just don’t feel like 10 months should be the life of a can opener.

This is absolutely the BEST quality, smoothest, most durable manual can opener I have ever used (and i have used MANY!) I have been on a quest for a simple manual can opener that works well. I have Rheumatoid arthritis so hand strength is a problem for me. My mother in law, who lives with us, is 85 with reduced hand strength as well. We can both use this can opener easily. Follow the care instructions and hand wash!! This is the second one i have purchased because the last one was put in the dishwasher daily for over a month against care instructions. These last for YEARS and work perfectly for us!! I have recommended to my entire family. Excellent quality and works so much better than any other manual can opener on the market.
