I love this electric can opener! After using a manual can opener for many years, I decided to try an electric can opener because my hands hurt after using a manual opener. This can opener is a life saver! I gently made chili and had to open 8 cans. Using this opener, it took less than 2 minutes to open all the cans, and my hands were saved! The magnet is strong, which keeps the lid from falling down. Once you get the can on, it's hands free as it does it's work. I like it so much that I bought one for my sister. I’m really happy with this can opener. It was very easy to set up and use right out of the box, and the one-touch operation makes opening cans simple. I don’t open many cans, but to be on the safe side I ordered this before having Hand Surgery. I ordered it in black, but would’ve preferred a matte black over the shiny black option. It’s easy to use, clean, and it works well. It’s very compact so if you have a small counter space, it won’t take up a lot of room.

It works great esp on cans which are hard to open with other types of electric can openers. The Hamilton Beach i.e. the competitor, works great on most cans but it is not good with tuna fish or hash or these types of cans. It can't seem to open them although it is fantastic for most other types of cans. This can opener is great for the cans which the competitor can't open. The two can openers work on a different principle involving different actual mechanical physics. This one will work on any can because it pierces the lid. The Hamilton Beach and similar can openers open by somehow separating the lid from the can but the mechanics are different. Seems to me the two types of cans are manufactured differently and you can tell the difference simply by looking at the can. The fish product cans and the canned hash have a much shallower lip which is not well suited to the other type of can opener. They are both excellent products but if you open a lot of tuna fish and hash, buy this one.
