They responded quickly asking some questions regarding the issues I was experiencing. After a few emails, they determined a new replacement can opener should be sent to me. Within a week of beginning the process, I had a new can opener, that works perfectly! Very professional, responsive customer service that quickly resolved my problem. This worked easily and opened the can perfectly! I've only used it once, but I know I need to order another for a friend! My hands will not open cans any more, weakness after hand surgery, tendon issues, etc. I literally can't cook certain things without help. Embarrassing and frustrating. This can opener changes that. Arthritis makes manual can openers impossible to turn. Electric openers take up counter space, are ugly, and splash liquid contents. This can opener is perfect solution. Pros: - nice palm size - stays clean - easy-to-hold egg shape is sealed & easily wipes clean - cuts off the whole can top, so no sharp edges - just one large button to operate. Cons: - not supposed to double cut, but no indication when you completed a circle around the can - requires 2 AA batteries, which are not supplied (fine with me as I prefer rechargeable batteries) - fairly slow...kind of creeps around the edge of the can - minor issue: doesn't work on small cans, like tomato paste. I have a hate relationship with other can openers. I can't do the manual one and have issues with the electrical one, can't use of no electricity. This one has been a game changer. It's so easy to use and the best is it has so sharp edges. Definitely worth the price.

No, you have not stumbled onto a review for a tennis “open”. I am talking about opening cans! Yes, this product opens every can I have had so far. I liked the different color choices but that is not all you should be thinking about. The real question is whether this product can do what it says. It does! The color choice just helps it do it with style points. So, it offers a great ergonomic design and easy to use operating button. It is a practically foolproof way to open cans. However, if this can opener has a drawback it would be the battery compartment door is a little flimsy and can take a few try’s to get open or closed. However, it's not a show stopper! I am recovering from a shoulder surgery and I find mannual can operner to be very hard with one hand. So I finally got this. I am not a fan of automated stuff - how difficult is life to have a can opened automatically? But once I had a surgery, different story now. This opener takes 4 AA batteries. When my mom broke her wrist she was complaining that it was almost imposable to open cans with one hand. I purchased this for her, and it really helped her out. You can do the whole thing single handed, feels kind of like magic. it cuts a pretty dull edge as well, which is nice for kids. I've got to admit if you have two working hands it feels a little slow, but if you are having an issue, or if you have young kids that want to participate in the kitchen this is a great option. I've seen it fail on some odd shaped cans though, like tuna cans and anything with a key. ... show more
