Excellent product. Tall enough for most any can, press the lever and it takes care of the rest. Opens can, magnet holds lid, no need to hold lever while opening. Holds the can very secure. Easy to clean. Well made.

After so many years of getting cheap can openers for the store it's nice to have this one that does most of the work for me, rather than me opening the can by hand. However, I have two issues about this item. First is the magnet, it's ok, it is not very strong, so I have my hand at the bottom of the can just in case it falls off the magnet. I open small tuna cans, and I can feel how weak the magnet is, so imagine if I was to open tomatoes sauce can, or some collard greens. The second but most important is the plugin cord, it's very very short. It is a real inconvenience; it barely reaches away from the wall once I plug it in. Other than that it is very simple to use, ease to remove the blade to clean, the blade is sharp. i would recommend this for people who only eat can food rarely, not to a person who eat and cooks with can food all the time. the cord should be made longer for safety reasons. ... show more

After first trying a less expensive one that literally "didn't cut it" I got rid of it and bought this one. It's just great! You just push down the lever and let go of the can. It does a fairly quick and quiet lid removal, stops by itself, and when you remove the can the lid pops up alone for you. Your can is left with a smooth rim, and it works every time! No, I learned from the other one you can't take that for granted! Lastly, I think this silver one looks real nice living on the counter. :-)) ... show more
