This can opener could be easier to use. I like that when you attach it to a can and start it, you can put the can on the counter and just let it go. No tipping! This opener does have a problem with some cans. Because it cuts more on the side than on the top, it's forced to cut through the wrapper on some cans and it doesn't always get through that wrapper. Funny that it cuts metal perfectly but has an issue with paper! I love that it keeps lids in tact so you can use a half a can of something and put the lid back on and throw it in the fridge!

I love this can opener! No more struggling with opening cans. Just set it on top of the can you want to open, push the button and let go. It works its way around the can and slices the top right off. So great! Design is good. light weight and fits into my kitchen drawer. Good value for the money - assuming it will last me a while.

Nice, easy can opener. Set it on the can lid correctly, push the button, and wait. It works by itself. It doesn't leave sharp edges because it cuts the side of the can open at the top.

It works as advertised. Occasionally there are false starts due to operator error. Takes a little practice to consistently position the device on a can properly. Well worth the effort. If my 94 year old aunt can do sit so can you :)

I love this can opener. We used an old Swing-a-away for decades because they always worked. But they also sometimes got gunk in the cutter wheel and that was tricky to clean and eventually the blades got dull and the item had to be replaced. Then one of us got arthritis in our hands and gripping those two handles was a struggle. Enter this battery-operated can opener. Not only does it do the trick pretty quickly, it also removes the lid without any sharp edges to slice through fingers or plastic recycling bags. It is a bit pricey and a little noisy and it does take up a fair amount of space in my utility drawer in the kitchen, but I wouldn't return to the old crank opener now. Easy to use, no cutters to clean, no sharp edges anywhere so safer for hands and home. It uses four AA batteries and the first set lasted eight months before we had to replace them.
