Tried the battery operated ones including the Tornado & it was junk. This holds a charge and charges easily. I use it on the stand even though it slides off and can use separately. It’s easier for me to open any can with it on the stand. Good buy and price

There's more likes than dislikes on the can opener. The downfall of the can opener is it don't do well with small cans ( tomatoe paste can) it also took us a few tries to use the can opener, hint : tip the can away from you ( just a tiny bit ) and it will work fine. I the fact you can use the can opener on or off the stand., 😉 It works really smoothly, another hint : (tear the paper down from the top where the blade part is). After our old can opener passed away, I was scrolling Amazon looking for a new one. I had not yet seen a 2 in 1 with a detachable head for opening large cans. So I decided to try this one out. +++++ OMG, I have not had to hang any #10 cans over the edge of the counter to open them, no more having to struggle with a hand opener, then take a screwdriver to ope a can the rest of the way creating a possible ER trip.+++++ (It was only once, but still,,,awkward) It is easier to clean than our old one. It said it would open big #10 cans, but it really struggles with them sometimes not opening them at all. and its hard to attach it to the can to open it. Opens small can okay. But I got it mainly for #10 cans. Kind of a disappointment.
